"I actually broke out a pen and paper the last couple days," Schilling said Tuesday in his weekly radio appearance while driving to Fenway Park for the Red Sox victory parade. "There's a very realistic chance I won't ever play with them again."
Regardless of where he ends up (even if it's the Yankees), Schilling deserves a statue erected outside of Fenway Park for the contribution he's made to two Boston championships. The Curse couldn't have been broken without him.
Having said that, I'm reminded of a rumor a while back on PTI saying that Schilling wanted to ride off into the sunset with Tampa Bay. Where do you think he ends up?
Baseball will not have a strike...now what? Can baseball market itself as a product that people want to buy? To me baseball is a lot like WCW in it's dying days, they really don't seem to be in touch with the rest of the world.
