I agree with the entire post except for one thing...
The Contra cheat code was "up, down, up, down, left, right, left, right, B, A, B, A, Start" :-)
If it were a two on one match, with two Bob Holly's vs. One Lesnar, woudl that be:
Up, Down, Up, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, B, A, Select, Start? ;-)

It really is a fantastic post (which is why I'm happy so many people are seeing it rather than bitching it's not helping our hit count to read it here), but the Donovan McNabb afro symbiote literally had me annoying co-workers with my laughter... and I didn't even know anything about Venom except he shows up with Spiderman sometimes.

Originally posted by The GoonI don't see why whoever wrote that hates Bob Holly so much. The guy has been kind of inspiring since returning from a broken neck and he's a legit tough guy, so it'd be nice putting the title on someone different for once.
Count me in as pro-Holly for the Rumble.
You can't be serious.
Why can't he be serious?? Just because YOU don't like Hardcore?? I'm with the Goon...but then you knew that already!

Count me in as the same question Spaceman asked. Not really the pro-Bob Holly for WWE champion, even thought that alone is a little strange... But the reasoning. Because he's a legit tough guy? What year are we in, is the WWE worried that someone will take the title and move to another territory and if so they take away from Brock Lenser and put it on Bob Holly!? I couldn't tell if Goon was being sarcastic or not, Bob Holly is inspirational? Okay it's always nice to come back from an injury, but don't know if I'd call this story inspiring
What is inspiring is having Bob Holly use the Konami cheat code... I also got a soft spot for the Super Mario Bros. Invincibility Star. 30 Seconds of power, match ends in the 34 second mark hehe cute.
smark/net attack wienerville advisory is on ORANGE alert - High (Due to Bob Holly WWE Title match, Kliq/Kliq PPV World Title match, Mae Young appearance) 1/6
Get your WWE CD copy autographed by Stone Cold Steve Austin, Chris Jericho, Trish Stratus and Lilian Garcia after Raw... Oh MY! Christmas has come late. Can't get better then that.
Not to beat a dead horse (which, I realize, I am) but Brock is a scary fast, crisp, charismatic wrestler with an accomplished background in amateur wrestling, whereas Heidenreich is a green, uncharismatic lump of nothing. Even if you switched their gimmicks when they entered the company, Heidenreich would never have gotten over.
Just to clarify, I wasn't being sarcastic. Because Smackdown is on 5-7pm here in Calgary, I rarely get a chance to watch it, but I did catch it just before and after the Christmas season, and I think there was something with Bob having to run a gauntlet to get the shot with Brock, and I really got a kick out of him beating the odds.
I know it's a "markish" thing to say, but I still tend to back the face coming back against insurmountable odds to defeat the cocky heel. Same deal with Benoit getting a shot in the Rumble-finding the only loophole to get around Heyman's nefarious plan.
While Bob Holly may not be the best choice as champ (in most people's books) I'm certain we could all agree that it would be best to put the title on someone who isn't injured and CAN actually defend it.
I'll give anyone a chance, and I'd like to see Holly get his.

All those records are very interesting. But unfortunately I think they mean little. You know what *I* look at. I look at upper mid-card feuds and who wins the transition match, who wins the match before you go your separate ways and have your other feud....
