I would just like to post that Scare Tactics on the Scifi Channel is one of my favorite new shows. Its a great scifi prank show and its better than any other prank show that has been on tv. Its funny and the way they shock people its great. Plus, Shannon Doherty is a great host and it doesn't hurt that she is hot either. Overall, great job SciFi.
I've been waiting for the show the whole week since I first saw the promo for it on RAW. It is just some funny stuff watching these people get freaked out of their minds. The one with the sasquatch and the hitchhiker ones were my favorites from last night.
I'm not a big Shannon Doherty fan, but I can live with her.
I cannot believe you people buy this show. It is BLATANTLY fake. The acting is terrible, plus the multiple camera angles in the show are badly done. I wish you guys were with me when I was watching it because every 5 seconds I could point out another inconsistency. The stupid "nightvision" cut scenes are terrible, such as the one with the hitchiker. He goes out to take a piss just a few yards from the car, and then as he's walking back, we're there with a nightvision camera walking with him. WALKING WITH HIM. The people in the van can look right out the window and see the hitchiker WALKING WITH A CAMERAMAN. It was not a set camera, so you know it was walking with him. Also, there's a shot right when they first pick him up, its of the car as it drives away. So theres a camera right behind the car as they drove off and nobody saw it?
In the one where they do the "heart tests", they show the guy holding this 'home camera'. Yet when they show the "view" from the camera you can see it's totally done with cinematic film - the quality just isn't the same, and you can tell.
Also, check the one with the bigfoot. There's one actor (Next to the megascreaming girl) who is LAUGHING THE WHOLE TIME. Ouch.
OK sorry for this long rant but I just saw two straight episodes for the first time tonight, and these are only a FEW of the inconsistencies.

I WANTED to buy into it, I really did. But you're pretty dead on with your evaluation. I wasn't eagle-eyed for technical inconsistencies, but the acting was a major red flag. It was most obvious in the "alien attack" segment. That girl with her "This is my first RAAAAAVE!" line reeked of cheesy acting.
My buddy Pete and I were able to watch Man vs. Beast II at the Jolly Taxpayer on Friday night, albeit without any sound. The following is my report on the show. 1. Long Jump - Man vs. Lab. Victory went to the Lab, by a margin of half a foot.
