I run Windows XP, and I have noticed something strange on my home system's Internet Explorer.
When I right click on an image to save the picture, the ONLY format it is allowing me to save the file as is BMP, no matter what format the original image is in.
In addition, when I attempt to view the source code of a page, it will not pull up the notepad with the HTML in it. Nothing at all happens.
Both of these items work properly on my work system, with the exact same software. I haven't made any settings changes, that I know of...
It looks like the problems may both be related to your Temporary Internet Files being full, and clearing them should fix it. You could also consider switching to Firefox.
Don't like Firefox :). Yeah, I know, I hear it all the time. I tried it (actually, it was Mozilla I tried, but still), didn't find anything special about it. Actually, it drove me crazy. Probably just me, though...
Oh, and much thanks for the answer. I shall try that when I get home.
Firefox isn't Mozilla. Yes, they're related, but the two are really different in terms of interface. I've switched a number of people to Firefox that didn't like the Mozilla suite. You really might want to give it a try.
