Sounds like potential differences between Collins and Savage to where they just want Savage to pick the players.

If this is true, this is complete and total bullhockey. Just the fact that this is swirling around is really pissing off this Browns fan. Savage was hired to be the GM, that's what his job should be. That should absolutely include contract negotiations with the players. If he goes, good luck finding a highly regarded GM to come to town.

Edit - Well, John Collins called in to WTAM and said that nobody is going anywhere. THANK GOD.

And now ESPN says it's Collins who's gone. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=2278785

I'm going to go out on a limb here and boldly predict that ESPN goes 0 for 2 on this Browns story.

Actually, it's the buzz here locally as well, not just ESPN. I am kind of hoping this one is true.

Right now, my vote for AFC QB is McNair. Peyton didn't really take off until the 6-TD performance against New Orleans. (Believe me, I know, Manning's my starting fantasy QB.) McNair, on the other hand, has been unbelieveable week in and out. NFC?
