Looks like I have something to add to my Christmas list this year.

Trivial Pursuit Saturday Night Live DVD Edition Hasbro Games and Parker Brothers.

30 seasons of SNL Trivia live from your living room!

For over 20 years the TRIVIAL PURSUIT Game has challenged millions to move around the circular board answering intriguing questions in a race to collect a scoring wedge from each category of questions. This edition combines all the fun of the boardgame with the Emmy award-winning late-night comedy show to bring you and your friends even more trivia fun.

6 categories covering the entire show: Sketches, Famous Impressions, Commercial parodies, Characters, SNL etc, and The Show.

Playying pieces of Conehead, Mango, Cheerleader, Mary Katherine Gallagher, LandShark, Ladies Man, Samurai Deli and Matt Foley.

Those playing pieces lean too heavily on the recent, especially crappy years.
for pity's sake, Those inane cheerleaders? Mango? The Ladies Man???

Why not Wayne or Garth?
Or Toonces?
Tommy Fla-NAY-gan? (yeah, that's the ticket)
Fernando?
The Festrunk brothers?
Buckwheat???

Hell, I'd even take the "Makin' copies" guy over f'n Mango.

I mean, I understand one exclusion. There'd be fistfights to determine who plays as The Continental.

And where the hell is The Church Lady playing piece? Put a sound chip in there that goes "Well isn't that special" after you finish a move, and you've got GOLD, baby.

Star wipe, and...we're out.

The fact that you didn't use his name (Richard Laymer) suggests that you may not possess knowledge trivial enough for such a game!

I'm surprised that they didn't include Wayne's World as part of the game pieces. I'd rank that as one of the top 5 most popular skits off all times.

But as long as their are some Velvet Jones references, I'll be happy.

And no Nat X. Because the white man wants to keep the brothers stupid.

At least we're spared the Roxbury guys and Goat Boy.

But come on... Lovitz! Evelyn Quince... Annoying Man... Master Thespian Jonathan Jan Kolavecci?

How about a Doug and Wendy Whiner piece that whined each time someone else answered a question?

Maybe a (Rich Hall as) Doug Henning piece that every time you got one right, it said, "Thank you!"

Or dare I suggest a game piece of....A DODGE STRATUS!!!

What I want to know is: where's Dieter?

This game has grown tiresome.

I'm going to go back to watching my tape of Germany's Most Disturbing Home Videos. Ants, ants.

And, as a nod to history: where are the Wild and Crazy Guys? Or The Bees? Or Samurai... Samurai anything? How about the Blues Brothers? Or that cranky commentator woman that Gilda Radner played (I'm sure CRZ or someone will look that name up)?

With the day change, I hope the producers of Smallville get the message that it's time to wrap things up. The horrible way with which they concluded Season 8 doesn't leave me much hope for finishing with grace. Still, it is returning next season.
