| #1 Posted on 26.10.03 2109.01 | They just announced on ESPN that the Monday Night game between the Dolphins and Chargers has been moved to Phoenix from San Diego due to the forest fires. It figures that it took two other teams to get a Monday Night game back in Arizona.
On a serious note, hope everyone in San Diego is doing ok with all the fires, Northern Arizona went through that last year, but they were not as near popluation centers.| Promote this thread! | | redsoxnation

"...and you can catch the Monday Night Football game featuring the Dolphins and the Chargers tomorrow night here on Westwood One. The game has been moved to Phoenix due to the scary situation down in San Diego.
[light commentary on fires and the Chiefs-Bills game here]
Well, at least the folks down in Phoenix get to see some NFL football this year, so that's nice for them."

That is the only time you will ever hear me say that.

I was wondering what they would do about tickets.

This is most likely going to be the first, last, and only chane you'll ever get to see a decent (maybe) NFL game in Arizona for free.

| #12 Posted on 27.10.03 2257.15 | Instant Rating: 3.57 | I don't have a VCR And I didn't know that RAW starts at 10 here. Damn this whole ignoring daylight savings nonsense. It started at 9 every week up until this one. Anyway, this was my first NFL game, and I gotta say wow. I only got to see up until the end of halftime(again I thought RAW was starting at 9pm), but I saw 4 fights and a total of 6 confrontations with authorities. There was a HUGE brawl near my section. It lasted for a couple of minutes. Two guys started to get in each other's faces. Then some people started pushing. After this, people started thrwoing beer, peanuts and even GLASS bottles at the involved parties. Then a fullout brawl ensued. One guy got completely messed up. He was a bloody mess. The sherrifs came in, and the fans started fighting them too!
I've been to dozens upon dozens of college games and have never seen anything like this. Sure, no alcohol is served during college games. But most students do their fair share of drinking before the game. It probably had something to do with standing in a HUGE line for hours before the game(while drinking), and fighting over seats. But still, I couldn't believe how much violence there was in the stands. It was mindboggling.
