PWInsider is reporting Samoa Joe has been suspended "for about a month" following some sort of tantrum after his match with Jeff Hardy.

http://www.pwinsider.com/article/49682/update-on-top-tna-wrestler-suspension.html?p=1

Fantasy booking alert: People (including me) would shit their pants if somehow Joe broke contract and joined the Nexus, taking Danielson's place. Never happen of course. In the Monday Night War era, stuff like that would inflame the imagination and actually could happen. These days, it's just fantasy booking.

TNA is so damn stupid. It bums me out because Joe will likely leave when his contract expires. I know everyone's gut reaction is "OMG HE CAN GO TO THE WWE UNIVERSE~!" But I have ZERO faith that they would use him correctly.

Yeah; they wouldn't use AJ Styles correctly, either. Not that I can imagine Styles ever leaving TNA; he's the Franchise of TNA.

A.J is pretty frustrated with the booking and bitter about dropping the title abruptly. Not that I ever expect him to leave but here's a recap of a interview he did with Pwi Weekly http://pwtorch.com/artman2/publish/TNA_News_1/article_42856.shtml

If I'm correct WWE didn't want Joe when he was still hot and in good shape - Why would they want him now, after all TNA has "done to him"?

Iirc they did want him. I believe he was supposed to play the Umaga character or that was the rumor. Joe was never in great shape.

I think Foley was Joe's big locker room advocate, though, so a WWE jump might not be that plausible right now. A return to ROH for a while seems more likely.

I always thought Umaga was WWE's "answer" to Joe, who was still in the midst of a hot, Goldberg like run in TNA when Umaga debuted. Umaga was the Demolition to Joe's Road Warriors.

AJ may think his run ended abruptly, but at least it was a great moment for live TV, and he got like a 6 month reign. That's rare these days in TNA or WWE.

Come on - what's more likely is he takes his medicine and stays in TNA.

I think he was taken aback at the title being taken off him and with no build and on tv instead of the PPV. I'm guessing he wasn't happy to have been turned heel either and pretty much playing a third rate version of Flair. No question that Umaga was a Joe ripoff but I believe the WWE wanted him to come in and play a character like that. Russo really fubar'd Joe big time the past few years. A.J also thrtew in a line of I thought they thought more of me but I gyuess I'm just a TNA guy a subtle jab at TNA management grabbing WWE guys and pushing them over TNA guys.

This time, yeah probably. I meant a return to ROH is more likely than a jump to WWE, not more likely than him staying put. He seems to have a pretty short fuse and won't hold his tongue, though - and if Daniels was happy to walk away so quickly I don't think it would faze Joe much.

I agree that he will take his lumps and we will se him return next month to TNA. It has been a few years since I kept up with it, but if Joe were to leave, it seems like he would be perfect for Japan.

The guy has worked numerous 1 hr matches. I'm pretty sure none of us can do that.

This is the second big incident with Joe and TNA management though (the first being the interview where he went off on Nash, Hall, and Dixie).

PWTorch says:

There are reports that Joe was suspended by TNA, but we have not been able to confirm an official suspension beyond Joe being sent home. Joe was not at the last set of TV tapings on July 26 and 27.

Joe vs. Hardy was scheduled to go to a ten-minute draw. According to sources, Joe did not want a countdown for the final portion of the match because it would give away the finish. However, TNA announcer Jeremy Borash started a count-down with 30 seconds remaining in the match.

After the match, Joe reportedly went backstage and yelled at production team members in the production truck for the countdown. Since then, Joe has not been used by TNA.
Seems like a pretty tiny thing to get worked up over, but I guess maybe it's a straw vs. camel deal.

On the plus side, Dixie says that they're bringing in Brother Runt (Spike Dudley), CW Anderson, and the FBI for Hardcore Justice, so who needs Joe anyway?

In defense of Cerebus (?!?!), I also had no clue who was being quoted or what that was all about. Like you I haven't seen Pulp Fiction but I'm pretty sure I've never heard that quote before.

Have to admit it's kinda amusing how well it fits in this particular scenario but I really can't imagine there'd be a ton of opportunities where the same would be true.
