It's getting tons of play up here in Canada, but I can guarantee it's not a CANCON hit. Goddam it's the song of the year, hand's down. It is catchy as hell and settles into such an awesome groove and just doesn't let up. It sounds like the percussion is handclaps and bongos! "Brother Down" by Sam Roberts. It has now been overplayed enough that I am officially SICK TO FUCKING DEATH of the song. Give me six months, and I'll learn to love it again. I was born in a manger, like that other guy. You know, he wore a hat?
Actually, it's NOT Pat Boone, because of some copywright issues MTV couldn't get around (Pat Boone recorded a CD of metal covers a few years back, including "Crazy Train". It's both the best and worst album ever made.).
