I always rooted for the undersized types...guys like Singletary, Mills, Zach Thomas, etc., because I was always undersized, too. It's that old mentality of "if they can do it, so can I". Of course, they were all better athletes than me and had better football instincts. But it was just the idea of don't ever let anyone tell you that you can't do something because you're too [x].
It's sad to see that the cancer finally got the best of him, though

RIP... always a class act, a man of true character who led by example both on the field and on the coaching staff. It's hard to believe that, even though his life was in serious jeopardy due to the cancer, that he's actually gone. My condolences go out to his family.
So then, what do you do if the Giants end up going 12-4 next year and make it to the NFC Championship game? Keeping a guy on for the express purpose of firing him a year later can have wrinkles, ya know? Just wondering.
