My son picked the flick, so I was just there to watch, but it was really a pretty decent movie. Angelina plays a CIA agent who is accused of being a Russian sleeper spy. A few plot twists that I didn't see coming. Overall a good action flick.

I do hope Salt launches an action franchise for Angelina Jolie. I'm totally down for Angelina saving America from evil Russians, comrade.

That's because he's just THAT GOOD.
The ONLY problem I had with this movie, and it's silly little thing admittedly, was watching Jolie run. She runs like a completely uncoordinated goof. | Mr Shh

Totally one-dimensional, but I loved almost every minute of it. Jolie really pulled something off here. Seemed like the part was made for her, even though it wasn't.
There were some really cheesy parts: Orlov's exposition at the beginning, "Go get 'em!", the activation meter (which reminded me more of Austin Powers than James Bond).

This thing kinda played like the beginning of a comic franchise. Hard to believe that there won't be a sequel, and even harder to believe that (based on the ending) it won't be called Spoiler Below: Highlight text to read

Don't want to resort to spoiler tags, but I just want to hype up: THE FINAL KILL SHOT. How Salt finishes off the main bad guy and the long, amazing shot of her doing it.
I want to see Salt again just for that shot.

For all the early talk about summer movies being terrible, we have hit a virtual golden age in this latter half of summer 2K10. I really liked Inception, Salt and other movies. Plus Despicable Me and Toy Story 3 got great reviews as well.
