Q-n-D:

#1 CONTENDER MATCH
BEER MONEY VS. MOTOR CITY MACHINE GUNS VS. TEAM 3D

MCMG win -- Neckbreaker/Crossbody combo on Brother Ray after Ray gets beer spit in his eyes by Storm. Pretty good.

GLOBAL TITLE MATCH
ORLANDO JORDAN VS. ROB TERRY

Terry retains. Spinebuster FREAKBUSTER on Jordan. Dull. Jordan attacks Terry afterward, focusing on his already-injured leg.

Backstage, Ink Inc tells Team 3D that they'll "take care of" the Band for them, leading to Ray being teed off at Neal's impertinence.

X DIVISION TITLE
DOUGLAS WILLIAMS VS. KAZARIAN

Williams wins with the Chaos Theory! Mostly ground-based. Some nice chain stuff, nothing too wild, but solid.

CAREER VS. KNOCKOUTS TITLE
TARA VS. MADISON RAYNE

Rayne retains -- Tara is GONE. Rayne's finisher is kind of like the Overdrive/Play of the Day except she put her knee against Tara's head, driving her head into her kneecap.

TNA TAG TEAM TITLE
INK INC VS. SCOTT HALL & KEVIN NASH

The Band retains. Brother Ray hit Neal in the head with a kendo stick, but it wasn't necessarily a heel turn, since he attacked The Band as well (obviously, though, Ink Inc and 3D will feud). Eric Young was out as well and pulled the unconscious Nash (out from Neal's spear) onto Neal.

CHELSEA VS. RING
DESMOND WOLFE VS. ABYSS

Abyss, Black Hole Slam.

MR. ANDERSON VS. JEFF HARDY
Anderson cuts a promo before the match, proclaiming himself to be an "asshole" -- this results in "asshole" chants for the entire match, including pro-Anderson "LET'S GO ASSHOLE" (!) chants. Hardy wins with the Swanton.

STING VS. JEFF JARRETT
Sting beats up JJ backstage and then continues the beating all around the ring, including "dislocating" Jeff's shoulder with the bat and the ring steps. Sting finally tosses JJ into the ring and immediately Death Drops him for the pin.

TNA WORLD TITLE
AJ STYLES VS. ROB VAN DAM

RVD, Five Star. Ric Flair tried to interfere and was cut off by Jay Lethal, who put Flair into a Figure 4. Match wasn't great, with a lot of stalling and standing around, broken up by the occasional big move.

All in all: the matches that were destined to be lousy were lousy, and most of the matches that had potential were disappointing. Weak show.

Fairly medicore PPV. This was probably the deadest crowd they've ever had at The Impactzone. When the crowd in the Impactzone is mostly dead you know your booking and build up is really shitty. The three way tag Match was very good opener. Surprised Ray did the job but he has an out as he had Beer spit in his face. Borash was the ring announcer and I've read that Penzer was released. Terry Vs Jordan wasn't as bad as expected but rather dull as Karlos said. The feud will continue because we demand it. Abyss Vs Wolfe wasn't any good and the crowd was mostly rooting for Wolfe. Abyss' character is a disaster and The fans have competely rejected him pretty much. They badly need to get him back to The Monster Abyss character with Mitchell by his side. The Band Vs Inc Ink wasn't terrible but it had as predictable as a finsh as you'll see. If The Band jobs to The MCMG you know Hall will no show and Young will eat the pin. Nash already stated they're using The Freebird rule so Hall might not even need to no show. Hardy Vs Anderson was okay but I expected better. They seemed to hint at a Anderson face turn which is just too early and he tried to shake Hardy's hand after the Match. RVD Vs Styles was good but a notch below expected. The stuff with Lethal and Flair near the end of the Match distracted from the end of the match. Williams Vs Kaz was fairly solid but with little heat. They've done nothing to make fans care about Kaz.

I don't get it. I just don't get it.

Is anyone supposed to care about the tag team division? Am I supposed to be excited about the MCMG becoming #1 contenders? Didn't they just win a #1 contenders match last month? What the hell happened during the tag title match? Who are the fans supposed to root for here?

Williams winning back the X Title just cements what a waste of time it was to strip him of the title in the first place. I'm still cheesed that he got that kind of treatment over a natural disaster.

So who was the face in the KO title match?

So Anderson offers a handshake at the end of the match and Jeff Hardy walks. Are they seriously setting up a double turn between Anderson and Hardy? What the hell are they thinking? That's the worst thing they could do with both these guys.

I wonder if anyone in this company notices that Sting's still getting major face pops?

Why am I supposed to be excited that Abyss is holding a woman against her will for 30 days? Why does that make him a face?

I just don't get it. The only thing I get is RVD's continued title reign, but that's kind of a no-brainer, which is right up TNA's alley these days.

Wait, really? That's not what Dixie Carter said on Twitter.

@TNADixie Had a hot crowd all night. They are back. JB making RVD & AJ intros now in the ring now.

Now, I don't know what to believe. (Well, I believe the show was mediocre and confusing.)

Dusty Rhodes and Baby Doll did this, but it was during an inferno-hot feud back in the '80s.

I think I predicted most of the results expect Anderson/MCMG which I have to say I am happy I was wrong. The tag team division is at least active to all, but dead one on WWE where it really is just the Miz and Jericho rotating partners while being dicks. The IWC eats it up, because its one of the few if not only thing WWE is doing that is original. If Miz and Jericho move away from that division is DOA. TNA has enough teams where its pretty solid and has some good heat unfortuantly, they put the belts on the wrong guys. TNA should have let Morgan carry it with a random person in the back for awhile then drop it to MCMG or 3D. The Band does nothing to help this division expect getting in the way. Hopefully, MCMG can win the titles, but I don't see it happening mainly due to politics then storyline. Abyss over Wolfe is a total lose and only bad skits will come of this.

RVD winning is good now people like Anderson, Wolfe and others can move up while AJ can move down. I am actually psyched about a Lethal/Flair feud, the promos alone will be worth it. The KO is in trouble unless they are going to do a mass hiring of Mickie and others which I doubt as well. Terry continues his push and Williams wins which is the other match I got wrong, but not happy about. Kaz needed the win here to help cement his status if Williams won via shenigans then I would ok with it. A clean win does nothing to help Kaz, but elevates Williams with no clear X Division face in sight. I am glad I didn't get the PPV, but I am curious to see if TNA continues rehashing old feuds or starts new ones this week.

I must have missed where Eric Young joined the Band. Wasn't it only last month when he was feuding with them?

Yeah, don't ask.

If they're planning on using Anderson or Wolfe in the ME they probably should've had one of them win a PPV match in the last three months. I have no idea where they can taked RVD as champ now - there are no viable ME heels available. Of course, Angle is back this week, so he'll probably turn and hog the main event scene for the next few months.

Nash turned on him a couple ppv's ago. Then offered him a spot in The Band on Impact(Which Young turned down) they feuded Young jobbed and a couple weeks later he joined The Band. Got all that?

Anderson did go over Angle numerous times but the feud did end with Angle going over him. RVD Vs Angle if booked right could make money. Angle has hardly been selfish in his TNA run. It sure doesn't seem like Bisch and Hogan think much of Wolfe.

So I'm curious ... when PPVs are at The Impact Zone, are the tickets still free? Or do you have to pay for them?

It might not make sense to everyone, but I can buy the "Young changed his mid and decided to accept the band's offer" explanation when it means we get a decent worker to carry the load for these guys now that Waltman is gone. Now if we can just get rid of Hall.

Thank GOD I didnt pay for this...internet streams FTW.

I have no idea how this company stays afloat.

An Anderson face turn?

Jay Lethal vs Flair is their way of elevating Lethal? Flair has no credibility left in-ring, at this point it almost makes Flair sympathetic when a young, built, wrestler 30 years his younger beats him up.

And why does Ron Terry have a belt at all??? If you're gonna push Jordan's gimmick, then frikken do it all the way.

I read somewhere that Hogan's plan was to pick a guy they liked every month and build them up. So I'm assuming it was AJ, then Abyss, and now Lethal. So the question is:

Have their changes really done anything to help? Because from this perspective they've taken AJ and Lethal and made them Flair clones and made Abyss a Hogan-worshiping pansy.

Who have they built up? I'd say the only two people who have quasi-benefited are Anderson, RVD, and Wiliams.

I just don't see how this has made TNA any better than where they were pre-Hogan.

I'm not entirely certain that it was meant to lay the seeds of a face turn, honestly. Hardy ignoring the handshake could very well have been a "well, I know every other time a heel tries this they end up getting double crossed so it isn't going to work this time" sort of thing. It fits in with Anderson too since, well, he's an a--hole (to put it in his own words). Of course, this is TNA, so who really knows!

I'm probably in the minority too, but I didn't think the Terry/Jordan match wasn't that bad - I mean it wasn't good, by all means but I didn't think it was a train wreck. I do feel entirely bad for Terry, though, because I think he's being pushed way to fast way too soon and I think it will end up hurting him in the long run.

I'm puzzled by the outcome though. Not that I want to see this feud continue but it seems like it just started and now Terry scored a clean victory over Jordan, where do they go from here?

Abyss/Wolfe? Gosh.. in one night they managed to generate more sympathy for Chelsea *and* Wolfe then they've been able to generate for Abyss in months. I wonder if the forthcoming Chelsea/Abyss skits will be anything like the ODB/Cody Deaner skits a couple years ago.

Overall, I think it wasn't a terrible event. It had some solid wrestling (the Williams/Kaz match was very good) but it was hurt by a crowd that was mostly dead for the first half of the show.

Can we also start the pool on when the MCMG's will either lose their number one contendership or job out to the Band now? ;)

My assumption -- or, at least, hope -- is that the Lethal / Flair confrontation will now segue into a Lethal / Styles feud, since Styles is done with title shots for a while.

It was both. The crowd was loud for some stuff (Anderson/Hardy) and dead for some other stuff (Terry/Jordan).

I feel bad for him too. He's the new Renegade. The guy that gets a push because you assume he and Hogan work out together. Like Sheamus, but somehow less talented.

I've always thought it better pacing when the cartoon-y story-driven gimmick matches come at the end of a PPV card. By that time, my brain is tired and I want something I don't have to pay a lot of attention to.
