2006 inductees include Black Sabbath, Lynyrd Syknyrd, Sex Pistols, Blondie and Miles Davis. Pretty damn impressive class.
I wonder what brought about the sudden turn around concerning Sabbath, Syknyrd, and Sex Pistols? All of whom should have been no brainier first ballot inductees. Anyways...should be a hell of a jam session.

I must admit that I have never paid much attention to the admittees to the Rock Hall, but I agree with you. I'm dumbfounded that it took this long for Skynyrd to be recognized. I've always felt that "Freebird" got way underranked when those best-song-of-all-time lists started coming out around the year 2000.

Ozzy said it was meaningless every time they WERENT chosen. I am sure Sharon will be pulling the strings that make Ozzy say "I'm humbled by the honor" so she can make MORE cash off of him. |
