word...i still don't see why his drafting got every one drooling...

lump him in with Heath Schuler [at least Heath had me jumping, because he rocked at TN]

My favorite Ryan Leaf moment was when he yelled "Knock It Off!" to that reporter.

Finally an ex-Buccaneers QB who REMAINS a failure after leaving Tampa. Granted, he never actually PLAYED A GAME with the team, but he put on a uniform, so good.

. . . but . . . but . . . I was so looking forward to his wasting space on my beloved Seahawk's bench this year. Bummer ;-)

We should all be able to suck at our job so much and retire millionaires.

Ask, "Do you want fries with that?" *badumbum*

Like Leaf, glad to see a sucky QB do awful even after being on the Bears. What I'll miss most is Jim Rome's comments about him. Hilarious! :)

Since I'm too tired to think of a good joke, the truth is "fighting for a bench spot on the Niners".

How're the ex-Stampeder QBs doing? Are Flutie and Dickensen still with the Chargers? How's Jeff Garcia doing in San Fran?

Mirer is fighting for the #3 spot on the raiders roster.
As long as we are bashing failures where is (insert Penn State running back here) playing?

And just think, when LA pulls their head out of their asses and builds a stadium and steals the Chargers away, all the San Diego fans can blame Ryan Leaf. The man that single handedly tanked the whole franchise.

Not a bad legacy.

I'm kind of surprised he hung them up the NFL (much like the WWE) If you seem to have the genetics to be a good quarterback (Big, strong arm) teams are willing to give you chance after chance to prove that you CANNOT play in this league.

As for Rick Mirer the only thing I remember him is watching him on one of those summer ABC quarterback challenge show that he kicked major ass, and threw all the footballs threw the tire and hitting the moving gold carts and me thinking "Oh the SeaHawks are going to be amazing with this guy" Well they weren't.

Penn State running back? I can only assume you're talking about Curtis Enis. Last I heard of him, he was wasting time, space, and money with the Bears, but I think he moved somewhere else, although I couldn't tell you where.

And I also echo TheBucsFan's sentiments. About time someone still sucked after leaving.

When did Shuler retire, anyway? Has he?

Also, speaking of too many chances, Lawrence Phillips is in the CFL, if anyone cares.

You aren't a very bright person, but since you always mean well

I believe he retired after last year, if not earlier. "Nagging injuries" my sack.

if an NFL team was smart, they'd take a chance on Mike "Once he pops he just won't stop" Pringle.

The sad thing is that Leaf has already made more money than most of us ever will make in our lifetimes.

Funny that Leaf was too much of a prima donna for even the Cowboys. Boy that is saying something.
And I agree with Bucs Fans as a Tampa Bay fan I am glad he sucked instead of winning 5 MVP awards.

I voted in three of the polls, but this is the first time all season I've had the games on while I've been at my computer*. Yeah, they hardly gave ANY time at all to vote, and a couple times I thought "wow, I'M that 50%!
