They found the testing was unreliable. That's all. It's not a case of Braun being "guilty" or "innocent" it's a case of "we don't know".

Sarcastic in the first paragraph.

Here's the logic; if a ballplayer is caught using a banned substance, he doesn't play, period. The length of suspension may vary. Ryan Braun is indeed going to be playing without a suspension. Ergo, the ballplayer wasn't caught using a banned substance, ergo, the ballplayer wasn't using a banned substance.

Here's what's illogical; keeping the ballplayers name up in the air as if there should be some scandal when the entire thread is about how there isn't one anymore as there's been resolution and comparing a possibly-tainted-though-it's-been-decided-he-isn't Ryan Braun story that spanned a few months to one of the most notorious murder cases of our time. Especially the comparison of steroid and doping allegations to a murder trial.

Nothing was decided. The evidence was thrown out. Period.

Mishandling of crucial evidence happened in both cases, that is the only comparison I made. And it was an apt one.

"Ergo, the ballplayer wasn't caught using a banned substance, ergo, the ballplayer wasn't using a banned substance." Yep, Sosa and McGwire never used banned substances. Where is the logic in THAT?

You have proof that no one else has seen?

I will agree to disagree on stance, but dragging someone through the muck without evidence is equal to saying someone is in the clear without it; that being it's an opinionated stance. My opinion is that if the evidence is mishandled it no longer is evidence but distorting; how do we know the evidence wasn't skewed by it's mishandling? Right now, it's a non-issue, Braun is going to play ball. If another test comes up positive in the future, he really is a dirty player, and if he really is a dirty player it's an inevitability that another test WILL come up positive in the future. Until then I think it's completely unnecessary to keep bringing him up in the discussion until that hard evidence has been presented.

I think the key reason I'm behind Braun is that unlike A-Rod or McGuire who have admitted to taking and Manny Ramirez who didn't fight his suspension, he did stand up and fight, and unlike Bonds or Clemens, there's been no contrasting testimony nor ties to any form of seedy underbelly (yet).
