Hey, I'm a RVD fan and I find it perfectly reasonable that he should get pinned to further this angle -- although a bit vexing that he got pinned off a friggin' DDT. What, they couldn't spare 30 seconds for Morley to hit the Money Shot?

I think that there's some sort of unwritten rule that states that any move executed immediately following interference is considered to be twice as devastating.
I'm getting a little tired of this "RVD gets twice the reaction anyone else gets! He should win all the time~!" stuff. Stacy probably gets even more reaction than RVD does, but I know what this place would do to the WWE if they gave HER the WWE title.
Crowd cheers aren't the be-all and end-all of a wrestler's worth to the company. Being able to wrestle other people and not have it look like spot-spot-pose counts as well (not even Nash is as bad at it as RVD). He's gotten a lot better since his ECW days, where it was obvious that he could never fit in with WWE guys in a meaningful way, but he's still gotta learn some transitional stuff so he's not just bouncing around all match until someone grabs his foot during a kick.

C'mon, you have to admit that was pretty friggin' cool DDT. Rob looked he got dropped straight on his head.

It represents my reaction when RVD was announced as Champion on an episode of RAW back in May. Now I just need to get a picture of Kevin Wacholz choking the shit out Vince McMahon to represent how I felt when it turned out that 'Taker was still champ.
And, was it just me, or did anyone else find it very odd to hear Ross and Lawler talking about pot during RVD's match last night?

Yes, because we need lots more matches involving punches in bunches. There are no more transitions in WWE, the only difference between RVD and most is his offense is foot instead of fist-based. And really, isn't using those dirty words like "transition" or "psychology" not the sort of thing WWE should be worrying about, since only net smarks notice that sort of thing? This isn't really directed at Tribal in particular, but more at the net in general. When people complain about say Nash or Hogan getting pushed over Booker or Benoit the response tends to be "these are the people the marks want to see on top, so it doesn't matter if they have a good workrate" yet when the crowd has basically been behind RVD for 18 months the reaction is "he doesn't work well enough to hang in the main event level." Someone needs to get their apologetics straight I would say.

For anyone who thinks that Booker will be going over HHH at Backlash, feel free to PM me about the HHH Challenge.
I stick with my argument that RVD's biggest problem is that you'll never know who he could work a good match with. Angle, Lesnar, Triple H of old, all those guys have proven to be able to adapt to working with guys from Jeff Hardy to the Undertaker. Hell, even the Undertaker is able to work around different styles.
RVD's style is so different that it just plain clashes with too many people, although I do admit that he's improved a ton. I'm not saying that the WWE is looking for just 'amateur' type wrestlers either for main events, as I know that what they want are people who can just do punches between moves. If that's what they're looking for, then Regal would be champion forever. It's something in the middle, where when Angle/Lesnar/Benoit get together, they can wrestle the pants off people, but when Lesnar gets in there with a big guy, he can go to the punch-punch-punch offense. If Lesnar gets in with Rey Jr. then he can get beat up for the first bit and then pull out the power stuff. I think the WWE's confident that the guy will be able to mesh with most anybody. RVD's offense is just... weird... and with a lot of guys, it looks out of place compared with others.
Hopefully that explains my thoughts a bit clearer, although sticking with my trend of posting at 3am everyday seems to be *my* major stumbling block.

They could have their opponents in the ring waiting, have RVD's music hit, and cut to RVD and Kane watching cartoons backstage.
"Dude, I love Dexter's Lab."
"Yeah... Hey, do we wrestle today?"
"...Dude, someone will come tell us."
"Cool."
WWE could get the lazy college hippie demographic, which they've never been big with, and be funny and controversial at the same time.
...Actually, I'm only half-joking.
I actually think that's a pretty fucking funny idea. Just picturing Kane with a joint in his hand, talking to RVD about cartoons... I can't help but laugh.

Stereotypical stoners ARE funny, no doubt about it. If they can do HLA and necro-fucking-philia, they could make Kane and RVD the RAW stoners. It's not like WWE cares what anyone thinks about them, anyway.
I don't think there's anything wrong with RVD losing to Morley. After all Morley IS an ex-IC champ. AND Morley is BETTER than RVD. That's right, I said it, Morley is BETTER than RVD. MOrley can wrestle better, he can adapt to other people's style better, he sells better, he talks better. If anything you should be complaining about how wrongly used Morley is. I mean this guy has tons of talent and the past couple months he's been reduced to Bischoff's non-wrestling lackey. Sure RVD's get bigger pops, but you know what? Morley was over huge when he was Val, and let's be honest could RVD pull off a porn star charcter? No, not many can, but Morley can. THe only reason Morley isn't over now is because he is put in lame storylines like RTC and being "Edge's friend". The best thing RVD does is selling the DDT, and Val can do that too! So stop complaining about RVD losing to a guy better than him.
Since I don't get El Rey and am usually working shows on Saturdays, I have to wait for someone to post on youtube to watch episodes ( even though people who were there told me about basically everything that happened ).
