| #1 Posted on 7.4.03 2351.35 | RVD jobbed to Chief Morley on RAW. Dude. WTF? He loses to a guy who hasn't even been a full-time wrestler in the past few months- that looks shitty. I agree that he has had some sloppy matches in the past- but I can't think of anyone who hasn't. RVD is waaaay over with the fans, why hasn't this guy even flirted with the main event scene yet? I thought his angle with Austin over being the leader of the Alliance was great TV- and it could have easily shot RVD into the main event. I kept waiting for RVD to lose his cool and take it to the paranoid Austin- that could have been a great fued. (Not to mention it would have also given Austin more heat, something he sorely needed as the "what" chants got him nothing but face pops.)
So these thoughts all ran through my head while Chief Morley was pinning RVD for the 1,2,3. Don't get me wrong, I was a big fan of Val Venis. I just don't think he should have looked stronger than RVD tonight.

I think the WWE would like to keep RVD in a cage for the next 5 years. They don't want him rising to the top, but they certainly don't want him jumping to TNA, or any other upstart promotion that might spring up. So they'll just hold him, letting him run out the clock.

And Morley is easily twice the wrestler Van Dam is.

Morley and Storm are out to get the titles back, with help from the Dudley Boyz. I like Morley, and I like this angle.
I also like Kane and RVD, even though it isn't "cool" to mark out for those two.
Nice to see RVD referencing the herb again.

| #6 Posted on 8.4.03 0029.10 | I'm all for advancing the story line.... but this story line sucks. Morley is a great wrestler, but even as Val Venis- he never got above the IC title scene. I think RVD is capable of more, and it seems like the fans want to see it. (except for that guy that doesn't agree with me)

| #11 Posted on 8.4.03 0557.04 | I didn't mind the RVD loss. I mean, Morley & Storm were blatantly double-teaming him the WHOLE way through. And, RVD got to get his heat back afterwards, by getting the upper-hand on Storm & Morley when they tried to attack him. It's just furthering the storyline.
Now, if RVD loses to Jamal next week, then I might start complaining.

| #16 Posted on 8.4.03 0826.14 | You have to remember that some guys don't need to win to keep their heat. Look at Jericho, he loses all his PPV matches and still gets a huge reaction. RVD is another guy that is going to get a big reaction from the crowd because of what he does in the ring.

| #17 Posted on 8.4.03 0916.00 | At least they're using RVD in a regular storyline these days... one loss won't ruin his career. And as someone pointed out earlier, it was part of the storyline. What I'm wondering is, which one are they going to eventually turn - Kane or RVD? By last night's promo, you'd think it will be RVD, but then Kane may just grow frustrated...

Yeah, but what's the hidden meaning there ... Like when they were talking about "banana juice" and "tea bagging"; those were obvious enough. But "yams and lobster sauce" still eludes me (although I can guess).
