I really don't see any of that happening. If anything, it'll be Steiner/Trips at Mania, and Scotty won't get there by winning the Rumble.

More scary evidence, for this Dec. PPV, they explored the possibility of having it in a 5,000-6,000 seat venue in Waco, Texas. Even though it didn't happen, that seems like one of the smallest PPV venues ever for them. Think they would have done that two years ago?

Actually after the renovation to the Heart of Texas Coliseum, it now holds between 8000-10000 depending on seating arrangements except for rodeos due to the need for a much larger arena. Rodeo seating is 5-6000. Now I don't know whether this would still make it the smallest PPV arena....but Waco always fills this arena when WWE comes for house shows and has a very loud and excited crowd

Eh, call me an optimist but I really do think they are saving RVD for the Royal Rumble title match against HHH. meanhwile I think it will be Jeff Hardy (turning heel) who does the run-in during the Armageddon ladder match, causing HBK to lose and then have a HBK/Hardy ladder match at RR.

Please, for the love of god, please don't put Jeff Hardy anywhere near the main event picture. This is the message that a Jeff Hardy push demonstrates: Be unmotivated and get pushed. Not a good message.

Where is everyone coming up with this "unmotivated" crap about Jeff Hardy. Is it because he does't use steroids and isn't a huge muscle head? Is it because his body doesn't look like a traditional wrestlers? Or is it his style?

Or is it that he bumps like crazy, puts people over when given the opportunity and is basically a good team player?

First, until last week, his role in matches was to stand on the apron and not get involved in the match. I could be wrong (I mean, I had Thesz, Wahoo, and Davey Boy in my 2001 death pool, missed by one year), but he has the look of someone who really doesn't care anymore. At this point, Jeff has the better chance of becoming the next Louie Spicolli than the next Shawn Michaels.

I want you to know, I agree with everything I've just said.

Ummm.. no it doesn't. Were you at the April house show that RVD and Test main evented? There were only sprinkles of people in the top area. 1/2 capacity at best.

I may have been a little off on those capacity numbers, but if you fit 10k people into the HOT Coliseum, I'll buy you a beer.

Good God, logic. Ban him! We need more "Triple H ran crying to daddy-in-law because RVD gave him a boo-boo last month" posts!

Seriously, the HBK vs. HHH blowoff should be one-on-one(I'm personally growing tired of the "when in doubt, book a three-way" mentality), and there's no one else for RVD to fight that wouldn't be seen as below his level...so what else do you do with him? Sure, I'm disappointed that he won't be wrestling, but one PPV non-appearance is hardly a reason for panic.

I wasn't there, but I don't live far from the coliseum and the traffic was as bad as it was a few years ago 1998 or 1999 when they came to Waco. I had a few friends that did go and they said that everyone there was pretty into the show. They didn't tell me that there were empty seats though. The capacity numbers come from one of the designers of the renovations though from a year or two ago. The last time I was actually in the coliseum for an event was before the renovations when the hockey team was still around and I went to some of their games....Can I still get that beer?...lol

Flair/Batista against RVD/Kane would've been logical. It just seems like such a waste to not even have RVD at the show when it's a pretty weak card.

Tinman, 10k just seems big for the HOT, but I don't have that on any good authority, so you may have me on that one

What's Eddie doing for the PPV? Hell, have him and RVD do another ladder match in a special challenge match... something to make use of them... well, I guess a ladder would be "scooping" the HHH/HBK match..

Yes, HHH was mentioned but, in a 3 page long thread he was mentioned sparingly and most of those mentions were in passing and not the "HHH is holding everyone down" type stuff.

It wasn't really meant as an insult toward you, just an observation. If you're truly tired of all the HHH discussions, why continue to bring him up.

I don't know, it's practically unavoidable. Maybe the online wrestling commentators have just gotten so lazy that it's easier to say "I blame Triple H" all the time than to try to come up with a different explanation for why their favorites aren't pushed.

To be honest with you, I do think HHH, along with Stephanie, is a significant part of the problem. I don't like to harp on it, though. When I discuss HHH here, I keep it in the context of HHH the wrestler because in reality I don't know exactly how much say he has in what happens but, I do think he gets a significant amount of say, definitely more so than the other wrestlers. With that said, I will say when I disagree with something involving the HHH character because then I am just judging what I see. If my opinion gets discredited because I'm labeled a "HHHater" then so be it.

I actually blame Vince completely. Whatever power HHH and Stephanie have is allowed by Vince. Everything has to go through Vince.

While I don't deny that HHH has backstage pull, I think the HHHatred has gotten ridiculously out of hand online. I can barely read any recaps or commentaries online without running across some kind of snide comment. I have to watch the shows myself to form my own opinion WITHOUT getting the usual 'net "slant"(in my case, I don't get UPN and thus don't get Smackdown, and I work Wednesday nights so I don't see NWA-TNA as it happens).

Maybe it's just me, but it seems like far too many online wrestling commentators take on a condescending attitude toward their readers. When I read stuff, it's like "You're an idiot if you didn't see that coming, you're an idiot if you thought that match was any good, you're an idiot if you disagree with me, you're an idiot, you're an idiot, DID I MENTION YOU'RE AN IDIOT?"

My, my, my, my...
People denying HHH's influence or freeing him of his responsibilty to his fellow workers is very congruent to saying Homeland Security isn't an invasion of our rights and privacy... oops! Wrong forum.

Seriously, fans are pissed off and HHHating because the facts speak for themselves. HHH is not the worker he used to be. He cannot draw. Ratings are down. Storylines suck. House show attendence isn't exactly booming. But most, I reiderate, MOST importantly, MOST FANS ARE PISSED OFF WITH THE PRODUCT. PERIOD.

So now it really isn't a matter of wHHHo gets the blame, but rather a matter of how the hell the product gets better. And RVD at the World is NOWHERE near the answer.

We all know what the answer is. Prove me wrong.

Yes, I am bitter. And a proud HHHater!!!

I don't see how any of you can complain about RVD right now.

How many people have gotten to wrestle HBK one on one since he came back? Triple H and RVD.

How many people have gotten to show up the boss (by crashing in his office)? RVD and...nobody.

How many people have gotten to chat with Steiner about his brother Rick??? RVD.

And OH NO! His precious 18 month ppv streak is over! Oh poooorrr RVD! I mean come on! That was what? The second longest streak behind Kurt Angle? How can you complain about that. He's lucky he didn't miss a ppv earlier. I mean Eddie Guerrero missed a ppv just two months ago and he's MORE valuable than RVD. Everybody has to sit out eventually people. And like someone else said, it's better to sit him out now than next ppv at the Royal Rumble.

So quit your whinin just because someone you like isn't on the card. Raven is one of my favorite wrestlers and when was the last time he was on a ppv? And have you heard me cry about it? No.

Although, if they DID want to give him a match wouldn't Chief Morley make sense?
