| #1 Posted on 11.12.02 1819.01 | According to wwe.com, RVD will be hosting the Armageddon party on Sunday night.
I think this will be the first time that RVD will not be wrestling at a PPV since he debuted last July during the Invasion.

1)Fuck WWE for this dumbass decision
2)That sucks.
3)Put RVD on Smackdown.
Seriously. This guy has a few more than a few fans. Every live event I've been to he's the crowd favorite. Booker T and RVD are the top two faces in the company and they're stuck in useless crap.

J.R.: We're now looking at The World in Times Square, where RVD is the special guest. How are you, Rob?
RVD: Well, I'm doing just great, J.R.
Marks In The Background: R-V-D! R-V-D! R-V-D!
J.R.: Now, Rob, I gotta ask you, after being screwed by Triple H in the #1 Contender's match, what are your thoughts right now?
RVD: Well, J.R., I gotta say, it's too bad I can't be there at Armageddon, but one of these days, I'm gonna show Triple H you don't mess with (proceeds to point to self)...
RVD, Marks In The Background, and Marks In The Arena: ROB...VAN...DAM.
(RVD's theme plays, everyone starts to pop like maniacs, and we quickly cut to Triple H, and he is...WALKING!)

Forget the fact that Heyman's never trusted him with a world title, but Heyman always knew how to make RVD look like a million bucks! At this point, RVD needs to get the hell away from Raw, because he's been completely and utterly wasted!

Yes, since selling is the most important element of any main eventer. CoughcoughUndertakercoughcough
The only thing that will get RVD over with management is if he suddenly grows six inches and puts on 100 pounds.

What I meant was that RVD's version of selling is yelling "OW!" and shaking what ever part of his body is hurt. You want to see an example of his poor selling? Watch his Summerslam match with Benoit.

Actually, it seems to me that this is a result of the WWE having no idea what to do with RVD. And that's a really bad sign.
As far as selling goes, I've concluded the only part RVD knows how to sell is the leg. He had a nifty little match with Lance Storm on Raw a long while back where he actually sold the leg for an extended period of time. Along with that is the HBK match where he almost did a competent job of selling the leg. As long as the opponent isn't working his back or his ribs, his selling is less goofy.

| #12 Posted on 12.12.02 0021.14 | I'd rather have someone in the main event with limited psychology, poor selling, incredible crowd heat, an interesting moveset, and the ability to bump like a machine (RVD) than someone with on-again off-again psychology, poor selling, a boring moveset, dwindling crowd heat, and little bumping ability who only puts over his aging, bestest buddy (insert your least favorite letter here three times).
...but no, I forgot, if you give RVD a match at the PPV, that might take an A-train or Batista match out of the mix.

No, no, NO! Leave Batista out of this! What has Batista ever done to you? Don't put him in the same class as Albert-Train! At least Batista's a fresh face! Don't start ragging on the guy yet! If I'm not mistaking, this is actually his FIRST PPV match. So leave Batista alone!

Here here!!!! I am soooo SICK of people trumping up Austin...doesn't everyone remember how much they hated him, with his spoiled attitude, refusing to put over others, not going along with the storylines(He WAS an employee, not the owner), and his tired punch-kick-stunner-clear-the-lockerroom rasslin' crap, the stupid What filled promos with plenty of 1997 cliches... Let the bald spoiled wife beater baby sit and play with the ball he took with him... WWE NEEDS to develop NEW talent, not bring in old ones (Hogan, nWo, Michaels)...yet, even though they say it, they don't DO IT...which is why as a big long time RVD fan, it's so sad to see him being buried. I almost wish that he would've stayed sitting out from the WWF/E, until they straighten out their shit...

I don't really give two shits if he refuses to put over Billy Gunn and Jeff Jarrett. He shouldn't, and if he hadn't refused then I would have thought he'd taken too many chair shots to the head. If you're talking about Lesnar, then your facts are wrong.
ps. If you seriously think that RVD is getting buried, then you haven't been watching wrestling that long and just want to use the lingo, or else you're seeing things through hemp-colored glasses. When he jobs cleanly to Raven on heat, then you can post about how he's getting buried. Right now HHH and Shawn are busy, so they just don't know what to do with him other than job him out to up-and-comers, so they do nothing.

| #17 Posted on 12.12.02 0213.15 | Better to have him sit out the bullshit December PPV which has always drawn horrible buyrates (even during the company's heyday) then making him sit out during the next four PPV's, which have always been the WWE's biggest, most important PPV quarter.
And let's not forget, two years ago, RVD signed a two year contract with the company. Said contract runs out in April 03, I believe. Let's ALSO not forget that there were rumblings early this year that RVD was not happy and looking to get out of his contract early.
He has always said that he'd be more than happy making a living as a Special Attraction on the Indy Circuit with frequent tours in Japan in between. Might be just his way of getting a bit more bargaining power, or he could mean it... either way, if the WWE really wants to keep RVD around (and since he is one of the few who is truly over, I cannot imagine why they wouldn't), look for Van Dam to get a strong push in the future.

| #19 Posted on 12.12.02 0457.13 | You're main event from the RAW brand is a probable career match with HHH and HBK. We dont want or need any run ins in that. Its better that they have him sit out one ppv than have him fight way down the card in a meaningless match thats gonna lower his credibility.
Putting him on the world reminds the fans (most of whom have goldfish like memorys) that he's still around. Expect him to be back in the top half of the card next monday.
