Hmmm. Maybe when the long talked about split occurs this could be factored in some how to seperate the championships back into two. Hogan could still claim to be the champion since he pinned Jarrett and was never beaten for the title. He could then bring out *his* WCW title belt.
Then again it's probably a saga that they (especially Hogan) don't want to revisit.
Damn, DO NOT SAY THAT!! That almost makes me believe in a 'mission accomplished' kinda deal :)
Hogan can always say that Russo fucked him over. And as Russo is even more hated these days than 'The Immortal One' he could get away with it.

You know , first off... no one enjoys Hogan being exposed for the useless orange lump that he is more than me but giving Russo props for shooting on him reminds me of something Chris Rock said. There's a reason to kick an old man down the stairs. Just don't do it.
You have to remember that at that time Russo had inherited that blank check Ted had previously given Bishoff. What did Vinny Ru do with it? Remember when every week some one did a "shoot" interview with Mike Teney? Classic example of what happens if you try to write shows for the smarts. Vinny thought he had the full power he always wanted in the WWF and he felt he could shit on Hogan because he had Goldberg and Ted's unlimited bank.
Hell, I don't even know what my point is. I guess I am just saying that even though Hogan deserved it was anything but balls that allowed Russo to say it.
Bubbles? Oh come on Sharon! I’m Ozzy Osbourne the Prince of Fucking Darkness. Evil, evil, more fucking evil not a boatload of fucking bubbles man.
As best I can tell, the Jarrett-Hogan match was worked with all three parties beforehand. With Russo convincing Hogan it was part of an angle. Then, backstage, Hogan left the building (why isn't entirely clear), then Russo went out and did the shoot. I'm inclined to believe Russo's interview was a 100% shoot, simply because of how vicious he was and everything that resulted from the fallout of that angle (lawsuits, the fact that Hogan was gone from WCW, etc).
I'm pretty sure that if I were hiring for the WWE, I would tell dirtsheet writers that if they applied. It wouldn't have to be true, but it's a nicer way of saying "We wouldn't touch you with a 10 foot pole".
