Bryan might be the only guy on the roster who could break the Streak without the fans crapping all over it. In fact, holy lord, just thinking about the incredible smark fangasm if Bryan actually pinned Undertaker at Mania makes me want to see this in the worst way.

Now, obviously (99% obviously?) Bryan will lose and the Streak will continue, but even a one percent chance makes him an infinitely more interesting opponent for Undertaker than Lesnar.

It is utterly mindblowing that they have four, FOUR matches laid out for their biggest show of the year, and nothing in place for their biggest breakout star since Punk in 2011. Nothing for the guy that the crowd spontaneously chants for once or twice a show. Nothing for the guy largely responsible for the uptick in match quality over the last twelve months. They really are as dumb as everyone says they are.

HHH vs. Punk is the rumor. It would be a big match if there was anything on the line or its already a big match in Hunter's head, because he is in it.

I don't know if I want to see another Bryan comes up short again match even if its the Streak. The crowd was 60/40 behind Punk last year, I could see it being higher if its Bryan unless they go full heel with him which would be just stupid. Taker should come back and chokeslam the fucking out of the Authority and force them to get Brock or have Kane face him, keep with the tradition of Kane/Taker at Mania. The pop Taker would get for saving Bryan and Punk from the Authority would be heard on Jupiter.

See, I was all for Cena/Taker... until i saw this post from the wrestle zone forums today...

Compared to most talent on his level, Cena has never really had that career defining moment. Sure he's beaten Triple H, Shawn Michaels, Big Show, Great Khali, Randy Orton, Batista and The Rock, but have any of them really defined his career? Hulk Hogan body slammed Andre the Giant who was known worldwide, The Rock beat Hogan, Bruno Sammartino held the WWE Championship for over 4000 days and Steve Austin lead the most popular era in Wrestling. Does anybody count Cena's win over The Rock as a huge victory? It was the original match at WrestleMania 28 which everybody cared about and his win over The Rock last year didn't really feel like a big win the WWE would have liked it to be, which is exactly why I would have had him beat The Rock originally. How did The Rock benefit from the win?

I can think of a couple of matches which would award Cena his career defining moment. As mentioned, he has defeated both Triple H and Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania. The wins did add to his successful title defences but they aren't equivalent to him beating a star bigger than himself, like The Rock. That leaves Hulk Hogan and Steve Austin. Several fans would complain about their ages, back injuries, knee injuries and neck injuries but these men are some of the best performers in the industry and also the biggest draws. Limited on moves or not, either one of them could have a good match with John Cena. Both men in the match would be able to carry each other and a win over whichever one would do wonders for Cena.

The other match which springs to mind is against the Undertaker. Both of these men are larger than life characters and are extremely popular with the younger generation of WWE fans. They may have had matches in the past but they were all very early in Cena's career and they were not in a feud with each other. John Cena is in his prime and can be seen as a legitimate competitor and threat to the streak. While retiring on 22-0 would be great for Undertaker's career, Cena being the one in 21-1 is more important. Ending the streak gives John Cena that career defining moment. He would accomplish what no other man has. This is the face of the WWE vs the Deadman in his backyard. It's a huge match up for the 30th anniversary and is the most likely match to happen from the ones which would be enormous for Cena.

While a strong main event for WrestleMania XXX is important, a career defining moment is extremely important for John Cena's legacy. If somebody asked for the center-piece of Hulk Hogan's career, you'll point at WrestleMania III. In a few years time we should be able to say if you want John Cena's career highlight, watch WrestleMania 30.

...and the reply from another user who agrees with them...

Agree completely and it's why I've been an advocate of Cena being the one to end the Streak.

Beating Rock should have been the ultimate feather in his cap but, like you say, he should have done that at Wrestlemania 28. The victory at 29 was an anti-climax as even the kids knew it was coming.

You know what? On second thought... let's not have Cena vs Taker

I've always seen Cena beating HHH at WrestleMania 22 as his big moment. Everything was against him, including the crowd and the political edge HHH carried, but when he made him tap, that was unexpected and really established him as the top guy in the company. It was like WWE course-correcting Cena as the top guy over Batista, who went over the year before.

John Cena doesn't need a career-defining moment ten years into his run as the number one guy in all of professional wrestling. In fact, having a single moment to overshadow the fact that he has been the number one guy for a decade seems counterproductive. If anything, beating the Streak isn't career-defining, it's career-blackening. It means that nobody will remember his great matches with the Rock, HBK, Edge, or Punk, but will instead just think of him as the guy that ruined the Streak.

Cena beating Rock in the main event of WrestleMania to win the WWE title is far more career-defining than the poisoned chalice of ending the streak.

Cena's a 14-time champion. I think the biggest lock in all of wrestling is that we get a (Serious Foghorn Leghorn Voice)"There's only one thing ahhhh've NEVAH been - Undisputed Champion!"(/Serious Foghorn Leghorn Voice) promo that leads us to #15, putting him one away from Flair's mystical, mythical 16-time championship mark. His pursuit of matching/topping Flair defines Cena's career and gives them at least one more heel-turn tease ("Will he take a shortcut to Be The Man??" (No.)) to troll everyone with.

And at this point, given Flair's age and fired/not fired/fired but you're still gonna fight me status, I don't see any good reason why you wouldn't give Cena the most reigns of all time. He's already had the messy divorce and come out fine, he's the ultimate company man, I can't see any insane scandals cropping up and as Amos said, actually taking The Streak (as opposed to just being the biggest and most believable road bump) has downsides that taking Flair's legacy would not.

Cena is like a poor man's Austin in that he doesn't have one signature moment, he has several of them. What would Austin's "top" moment be?

* Passing out while screaming and bloody in the Sharpshooter at WM13? It's the most iconic, but it's also a loss.
* Driving the beer truck to the ring and hosing down Vince, Shane and the Rock?
* Riding the zamboni into the arena to attack Vince?
* Hijacking the ambulance to attack Bret Hart?
* Winning the title at WM14?
* The original Austin 3:16 speech?

Just a little bit of useless information. They actually changed the booking for one of the matches on the rematch, and the content of the other matches changed as well (although the winners of those matches didn't)
