Lawler challenges Cole for Mania since it is the only way he can kick Cole's ass without being fired. Cole only will agree if it is a handicap match with Miz and Riley by his side.

Are you suggesting that the WWE title not be defended at Wrestlemania or are you suggesting that The Miz lose the title on Raw within weeks of the show? (A handicap match would work but I don't think The Miz needs to be involved. Dibiase could fill the third spot in that match.)

I can't shake the feeling that since he hasn't shown up on TV yet that Diesel challenges 'Taker at Mania. There's history, quasi-kayfabe breakage which is a staple of Nash/Diesel, and a bit of starpower to boot. Just sayin...

Couldn't be worse than Diesel vs Big Show. But the HHH/HBK idea has much more sizzle.

The last image of Diesel in the WWF was when he lost to Taker ("I'm not afraid of the dark!"). Vince said, essentially, "I think we've seen the last of Diesel" as the camera showed him out cold on the mat.

As concrete an example of GTFO as I can remember.

He also got a WWF title shot like six weeks later against Michaels, so not quite as strong a GTFO as you think.

Wha -- really? I thought that was his last match before heading out to WCW.

He had the WM match with 'Taker, then fought Shawn Michaels at Good Friends, Better Enemies on April 28th.

It was a pretty decisive job too. Not quite a GTFO moment, so much as a putting over the guy who made you as you leave the company that also made you.

LOL. That's the match where they use Mad Dog Vachon's leg.
And iirc Diesel powerbombs HBK through the (then just a wooden table) announce table, and stares down Vince.

It's a fun match.

Miz drops the title. Dibiase would not work nearly as well because he doesn't have the history with Bryan that Miz does. I'd either have Orton or Cena beat him and have them go against Punk for the belt. Punk is the hottest heel in the company by far at the moment and should be in one of the title matches.

D`Lo and Regal had *one* match, and that was it. Regal retained. But according to the RAW preview, D`Lo & Trish team up vs. Crash & Molly (hey..don`t they have the same last name or something?) tonight!
