...Axxess autograph session. Neither will work the show, however, according to a report from PWinsider, which says Cena is having shoulder surgery with a possible 6-9 month recovery time. Even subtracting the obligatory 1/3rd of that time for Cena's preternatural recuperative powers makes Mania less than feasible. He had been expected to co-headline in a match with Undertaker or Roman Reigns. This would also end Cena's two-year streak of unsuccessfully attempting to enter the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
Rather upside down start to 2016 as tomorrow I will head to Birmingham for shoulder surgery. Life's full of set backs but #nevergiveup

Austin has said a million times that he won't wrestle again so I don't think this will change anything. I bet Vince places a call to Shawn but I don't think he'll come out of retirement, maybe The Rock wrestles at WM32.

Except he's been talking a lot lately about getting in better shape. Vince will pick up the phone to make an offer I'm sure.
... and this is why he should have done more to put over Owens-Rusev-Wyatt instead of steamrolling them in the end. I feel bad for Cena, but they sort of made this bed.
Throw around possible big name returns all you want, but the talent is there. Elevate it.
If this ends up being true, Roman Reigns is going to have to step up even moreso as champion because he's definitely the guy without Cena around. Even with, lately.
I was actually kind of pulling for Cena vs Reigns in a true "passing of the torch" match, because I'm not a fan of HHH/Reigns nor a rematch of Reigns/Lesnar, but at least both of those matches are set up if they want to do either.
Hopefully, this doesn't slot Lesnar in with Taker yet again. I know it's "officially" over, but in a desperate situation, it's on the table.
Maybe an immediate straight to the top push for Nakamura?
No idea what WWE will do for Mania with so many people out of commission.
File that thought in that cabinet in the corner labeled Not My F'ing Problem. They put all their eggs in one basket and now they have to figure out how to deal with it.
Well, if anything was going to stop WWE from giving a damn about clearing Daniel Bryan, this would do it.

One can only presume he was about to sign the contract to enter the battle royal when he dropped the pen and reached at a weird angle rather than bending over properly.
George Michael weighed his options. Maeby had chastised him for not taking risks, and what would be a bigger risk than perpetuating a lie about software just to ignite the passions of a woman? Of course it would be a lie, and since Maeby wouldn't know it was a lie, he wouldn't appear to be taking a risk. Perhaps the bigger risk was to tell his father he was lying, that he came up with it because he wanted his father to leave so he could enjoy what remained of his senior year. After all, he wondered, wouldn't that be the course of action taken by an overtly sexual man, a man who owns a pair of matador pants? He had not responded now for 41 seconds according to his unfailing internal clock, and it was time to come clean.

Yup. I've told a couple of my friends that there is such a glut of talent that even if they were capitalizing it efficiently there would still be a waste of talent (note; they are not capitalizing on it efficiently).

YUUUUP.
Also, I think it's safe to say there's a reason why the rumored NJPW signings magically happened.
I hope Cena can turn the swell off and return soon. Maybe when he gets back he can elevate some guys instead of them beating him once, followed by Cena winning the next two matches like he did with Owens and Rusev.
Would it be insane to have Reigns/Taker as a main event? I think if you want Reigns to be credible, have him beat the standard bearer for the last 25 years in his home stadium in his (likely) retirement match. It's not like there's a streak to be broken anymore....
I saw a tweet that noted that every single champion coming out of last year's Wrestlemania is currently injured. That would be Seth Rollins, John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Cesaro, Tyson Kidd, and Nikki Bella.
Interesting that there hasn't been any mention (that I've seen, at least) of how this happened. He had a match with Del Rio on Raw last week ... they promo'd one for Raw this week but never delivered ... and (spoiler alert) they taped a segment for tonight where his "demand" for a match was turned down. It must have been pretty sudden for WWE to continue the storyline like that. Maybe they'll retape a backstage segment to push into tonight's show where the League of Nations injures Cena's shoulder, who knows.

I doubt they address it beyond, "he's hurt bad enough to get surgery and he will be gone for several months." "Terrible news Maggle. Get well soon Big Match John, it won't be the same withoutcha!" Cena can't be hurt by mere mortals, storyline or otherwise.
– A recent stat has come up regarding the recent glut of injuries that have hit major WWE Superstars. All the talents who left WrestleMania 31 as champion are currently on the injury list. Here’s all the champions at the end of the event who are currently out with an injury:
* Seth Rollins, WWE world heavyweight champion * John Cena, WWE US champion * Daniel Bryan, WWE Intercontinental champion * Nikki Bella, WWE Divas champion * Tyson Kidd and Cesaro, WWE tag team champions
I hope this means Undertaker/Sting. Although the fact WWE has me most looking forward to a theoretical match with 2 men a combined age 108 could be an issue...
Kevin Kelly: "Mr. Austin, would you like to comment on Wade Keller's Take that endorsing the XFL hurts your anti-authority character?"
Steve Austin: "Oh shit, he actually said that? I thought the boys in the back were ribbing me!"
Kelly: "No, he really said that. Did they tell you the part about you sitting in the stands, looking all skeptical?"
Austin: "AHAHAHAHAHAHA. Yeah... oh man that was too much."
