...should be posted to Usenet by this time tomorrow. Hopefully.
I will try to put a Plaintext version on the FTP a bit after that and post a link here as well as on the rspw.org site. There probably won't be a web version right away...
I like the suggestion for Rookie of the Year and Worst Rookie of the Year.
Good job, as always, CRZ. I am surprised that you were able to finish this considering all of the more important things happening in your life.
I myself forgot to vote but plan on doing so next year.
Happy Holidays.
From the infamous Wrestleline SS interview:
DTD: If you were to make changes in WCW, if you were in charge and not Ric Flair, what would they be?
SS: I'd get rid of all the old guys, and push the talent that has waited to get the push. The things they are doing, it's back in the 1980s. It's just bad, man. Flair doesn't even deserve to be on the show. You've got to get rid of all the old guys. Like what Vince did, they started pushing guys. Nobody knew who The Rock was 2 years ago. He made The Rock. Now The Rock just did Saturday Night Live. You've got to start with the young talent, talent people can relate to. Who are we trying to relate to if we've got a 50 year old man out there? Are we trying to relate, so a 50 year people and above will go out and buy a f*cking little toy? That ain't gonna happen. It's a f*cking joke.
The problem with Rookie of the Year awards is that a 5 year indy wrestler is considered a rookie when brought into the WWE. The award becomes "best new guy in the WWE" or "best indy guy that I just started hearing about" or some mess of both.
Does anyone else find amusement in the fact that HHH got both worst babyface AND worst heel this year??? Does that make him eligible for best tweener???

actually, wouldn't that make him WORST tweener?
DDP: Well, there's this little passage I got memorized, Diamond Dallas 25:17. Sort of fits this occasion:
"The path of the bookerman is beset on all sides by the inequities of the talented, and the tyranny of workrate freaks. Blessed is he, who in the name of tradition and sports entertainment carries the stiffs through the matches of Nitro, for he is truly the workrate's keeper, and the finder of lost quality. And I will lay the smack down upon thee with great vengeance and furious roid rage those who attempt to outwrestle and expose my brothers. And you will know my name as the Bookerman, when I lay my catchphrase upon thee!"

Probably because most managers are predominantly eye candy. Gone are the days of Cornette, Paul E., Mr. Fuji, Heenan, etc.
Seems pretty pointless to have the category when there aren't any "real" candidates.
That would be my guess.
Matthew: You would've loved it, David. A week in a foreign country, strange people, strange customs... Dave: Oh, I know what you mean. I've been to Canada.

I don't buy that. I think he really deserves all the arrows that is thrown at him. He had an awful year and that's that. I also hear stuff that the internet fans turn on whoever a star. Well looking at the previous winners/losers of the RSPW. You don't see the "fickle smarks" choosing Austin and Rock for overated and Least Fav. award like HHH got this year. That's Because Austin/Rock never was as horrible as HHH is now. So that's pretty much proof that the fans opinions on Rock/ Austin is totally different then their opinions on HHH. Triple H is in a league of his own when it comes to turning people off.
As for best second, I made a post about this when I first read the nominations and noticed that the Best/ Worst Second was gone. I thought there were some decent choices out there this year. Of course Heyman did a great job. I also liked Stacy, she's pretty charismatic and Nidia added a lot to Noble and of course there's Rico. As for worst you have Lita, look how great Matt is without her, Torrie who's just doesn't add anything, and I personally have a bit of a problem with Flair being HHH's personally lackey.
That's Because Austin/Rock never was as horrible as HHH is now.
Well, from his face turn up to his departure, Austin was pretty bad, IMO. Boring "what"-laden promos and lazy in-ring performances.

Well, what about when 90% of the net were calling The Rock "Flex" and bitching about his shitty moveset? Same with Stone Cold. Before he turned heel everyone was bitching about his stale act. Finally he turned and the crowd didn't buy it. It was obvious they wanted Rock to turn again. Coincidence he's been getting booed alot in his big matches last year?
I think there should be a new method of choosing these because there is a small majority deciding these things. I think each major wrestling website should allow people to vote on them through a poll or somehing. That way it would be a wider representation of opinions.

I disagree. That NEVER gets old. ;)
What is the joke in that? Anyone, and I must say that compiling all this gets CRZ and anyone else who did it a thumbs up, the awards are always fun to look at, especially years ago (read 2000's to see all the HHH love back then).
You don't get it boy, this isn't a mudhole... it's an operating table. And I'm the surgeon. Something tells me to stop with the leg. I don't listen to it.
I had a crazy idea of enforcing everyone to read the FAQ when they sign up, should be part of the registration process. You read it, click ok and then all of a sudden you're hit with 5 Q's from the FAQ to complete your registration.
