1 has been done before so it's not that much of a stretch. For 3, only Bryan really counts as a cruiserweight in WWE. 4 - only Punk has non-WWE music. Jericho has the same song as ever, and WWE sells Bryan's version of Valkyries on iTunes.

But ending the split titles is something they really seem reluctant to do, which is a shame. The more titles you have, the less each one means. So it really IS fantasy booking (in so far as I think it's highly unlikely).

I haven't watched much this month so maybe they've done something to make people think the Miz will win and I've missed it but I don't see it. I know he got the #1 spot and the WWE seems to like the Miz a lot but last the whole match? I don't know if they like the Miz THAT much. Plus, I think a feud ending Miz/R-Truth match is one of the best candidates for filling out the midcard of Wrestlemania.

I'm sure I'm not the first who has ever said this but with The Rock/Cena on Raw and Undertaker on Smackdown I think this would be a great time for a "test drive" for somebody new in the World Title matches. I'd like to see Ziggler continue with Punk into Raw and Cody win the Rumble and get the Smackdown title match.

But yeah, it's going to be either Orton or Jericho that wins.

30 Man Royal Rumble: Orton may be the favorite to win the Rumble based on its location, but I will say Jericho wins the Rumble and challenges.....CM Punk. However, based on his one sentence quote from Raw, I can see how he would challenge for both titles. In addition to predicting the winner, I will say the "final four" of the RR will be Jericho, Miz, Sheamus and Orton. Cena will be close being the 5th while Barrett will be 6th.

World Heavyweight Championship (Triple Threat Steel Cage): Daniel Bryan (c) v. Mark Henry v. Big Show- The heel heat for DB has been fairly good and escapes this match (and still champion) by the skin of his teeth.

WWE Championship (John Laurinaitis as special guest referee): CM Punk (c) v. Dolph Ziggler- Punk wins and retains.

John Cena v. Kane- Kane wins via DQ after Cena completely loses it.

That Jericho idea is brilliant even if it is fanboyish. Totally makes sense as something that would "change everything" and line up perfectly with Jericho's history (and they featured him unifying the titles heavily in the vid).

Predictions:

Henry/Bryan/Show - Gonna go with Henry. I still can't believe Bryan has made it this long with the belt.

Punk Vs. Ziggler - Punk obviously, though they could hotshot it to Ziggles and have Punk regain at EC.

Cena Vs. Kane - Cena.

And now for the Rumble predictions (feel free to add yours):

The Diesel Award (Awarded to the guy who clears the ring and waits for incoming opponents) - Shaemus

The Flair Award (Awarded to the longest lasting entrant) - Hard to predict. Id say it was a lock for Ziggler, but he's busy. Let's go with Miz.

The Buschwhacker Luke Award (Quickest Elimination) - This either goes to a crybaby heel or comedy wrestler. Santino had a good showing last year so let's go with him.

Surprise Entrants - Taker, HHH, Batista

Winner: I think it is really a coin flip between Orton and Jericho, but I'm gonna go out on a limb and say Shaemus.

With only four matches, I'll predict that they add a tag or US title match. I would say Divas title but Beth Phoenix has appeared to have gone missing.

* Cena defeats Kane, beats the hell out of him, has him set up for some ridiculous deathblow move (stairs to the head or something) but throws the stairs away, not 'embracing the hate' in the end. Imagine Magnum TA tossing away the sharpened chair leg rather than jam it into the skull of the cowering Tully Blanchard...that kind of imagery.

* Punk beats Ziggler

* Bryan wins the triple threat

* Primo and Epico beat the Usos in a bonus tag title bout

For the Royal Rumble...
* Miz lasts until at least #15, gets tossed by Truth
* we get an all-face danceoff mid-match, featuring Brodus Clay, Hornswoggle, Santino and possibly Truth
* surprise entries are Nash, Christian, Goldust and "Sin Cara" (Hunico pulling double duty)
* Sheamus eliminates Nash, who then brags for the next several years about how he 'gave back to the business' by 'putting Sheamus over'
* Jericho wins it. I LOVE the idea of him challenging both champions at Mania in an attempt to unify the title.

Punk over Ziggler with Johnny Ace actually cheating for Punk to prove that he is now a friend of Punk.

Bryan over Mark Henry and Big Show, escaping over the cage as the Giants fight to get out the door.

Kane over Cena by DQ as I blatantly steal what others have posted in this thread.

Orton wins the Rumble.

Surprises- Tamina, Fit Finley and Matt Hardy.

Shortest elimination- Hunico
Longest in- Miz

Henry - Hopefully he is healed from his supposed injury and will get the belt back. I can't see them going into Mania with a cowardly, fluke champ (Bryan). I think they might go with Henry defending against Sheamus at Mania.

Punk - Ziggler isn't ready, especially not this time of year.

Cena - I have learned too many times to bet against him.

Rumble - Orton has won before and Jericho hasn't so I will go with Jericho.

Not really a prediction, but...Bill Simmons explains the Rumble and current WWE nicely over on "Grantland."

Good stuff.

Apparently Henry just injured himself again, so that's not likely.

I'm leaning towards Bryan retaining when Big Show throws him clear through the cage and Bryan rolls down the broken down cage wall and wins. He then proceeds to celebrate like a maniac, despite his sore back.

30-Man Royal Rumble Match: Jericho, and I feel fine.

Daniel Bryan probably via escape, although I'd prefer he sneak a LeBell Lock on Show after he WMD's Henry so he looks like he can actually you know...win a match

CM Punk

Kane

I was partial to this line.

There are implausible injuries, like the broken back Cena buddy Zack Ryder suffered at Kane's hand on Monday.8

8WWE.com subsequently downgraded that to a herniated disk. It'll probably be an ingrown hair by Sunday.

ROYAL RUMBLE MATCH
Winner: Chris Jericho

PUNK vs ZIGGLER
Winner: Ziggler. Then HHH comes out the next night but doesn't fire Johnny Ace, instead doing the plausible swerve (/sarcasm) that he's been in on it from the start to screw Punk over, too.

BIG SHOW vs BRYAN vs HENRY
Winner: Bryan. Damn shame Henry has another injury. I also anticipate Bryan still entering the Rumble, if only to set up the intrigue of him going for the other belt.

CENA vs KANE
Winner: Cena, but I agree with another post about him NOT turning completely to the dark side. Not yet.

I think there is. Michael Cole is to Daniel Bryan what Bobby Heenan was to Hulk Hogan. Cole has been totally consistent in hating Daniel Bryan. Cole hated him as a face; now that Bryan is a sniveling, cagey heel with a Napoleon complex, Cole still hates him. Cole will probably always hate him. Same with Heenan: He hated Hogan all through WWF, he hated him as a face in WCW, he hated Hogan when Hogan turned heel and lead the nWo, and he hated Hogan as a face during WCW's dying years.
