Where does Riley accidentally falling out of the Royal Rumble on a simple "fall onto the apron" spot when he was supposed to shoot a vitally important angle with John Cena fit in your "Alex Riley, consummate dipshit" postulate? Maybe he didn't really slip, he was actually diving onto a still-perplexed Percy Watson.

-Did I catch some "Kong" chants when the Divas match was announced as a 4 way?

-Say what you want about the guy, but Nash had a ton of heat. Loud chants and the crowd was pissed when he was eliminated.

-Am I the only one that preferred the Orton/Miz match to Edge/Ziggles?

I was STARTING to think, im the ONLY ONE who noticed this.

Even the Commentary team didnt realize he accidentally eliminated himself.

WHy don't more wrestlers do what Santino did and just hide under the ring until the end?

Wouldn't surprise me to see Kong return tonight on Raw, they usually do a surprise the night after a big PPV. Kong-Natalya have wrestled each other before. I would love to see a 4 way with Kong-Phoenix-Natalya and one other small diva. They could probably do a couple good spots.

And maybe it's me but I just don't see Edge as a main-eventer anymore. He's just not that over. Maybe they can figure out a way for Edge to drop the title to say.. Wade Barrett.....

They still have the month leading through Elimination Chamber to reset the RAW Title Match if they start getting cold feet and go the 'safe' route with Cena/Orton.

Because according to the year, it is against the rules. Back in the day, they would mention that you had so long to be out of the ring. I know Macho Man was eliminated for this.

Same as the ever switching rule about eliminations being legal from non-participants or eliminated entrants (Shawn was tossed by Vader one year after eliminating him, but they didn't count it).

I feel like there was a time when Scotty 2 Hotty got destroyed on his way to the ring and was disqualified for not making it through the ropes by the time the buzzer went off for the next entrant.

By this iron-clad precedent, Del Rio must have his victory last night stripped. Its still real to me, dammit.

Speaking of Chavo, what was with all he got in his few minutes? He hasn't been booked as even competent since maybe the first week after Eddie died. I always thought Chavo was a very good worker and am glad to see his working shoes still fit.

What in Christ's name is your definition of the word disaster? Holy hyperbole. I'll give you Orton, which they did solely to break Brock's "youngest Champ" record. But in all of these cases whatever didn't work came down to booking...ESPECIALLY Swagger who was booked like he was Iron Mike Fucking Sharpe. I would be stunned if any World Champ in the history of anything lost more times than Swagger. They're retarded. That's WWE's problem. Not talent that isn't perfect the first time out of the gate. The horrid, fecal booking.

I'm sorry, but you're crazy. Edge had the best World Title match in many many months at the Rumble. The stench of the Kane feud will fade. Edge is back in shape and looks inspired again. Wade Barret is absolutely nobody, got little-to-no reaction and should be nowhere near the World Title.

I loved the Dolph/Edge match. Miz/Orton was okay for what it was. I like Eve. She's at least as good as Lita ever was ;)

Re: The Rumble. 40 men, never again please. I never realized how those gimmicky spots they do that work so well in the 30-man edition just absolutely die in such a long presentation. The Cena/Horny spot, for example, would have been at least five minutes shorter. The Nexus domination spot would also have been shorter, and that dragged tremendously and killed the crowd a bit. I marked for Booker, and he did what he should have done: got his spots in and gotten eliminated. Diesel would have been a mark-out moment too if he could move. He appeared to hold onto the rope a good ninety percent of the time and on top of that, he didn't do a jackknife. I was muy disappointed. I am not that big on Del Rio, but I give them credit. They used the Royal Rumble for a non main-event star, which hearkens back to Duggan and Studd. Now let's see if they follow up.

This happened twice in 2004, also, sort of... after Kane chokeslammed everyone in the ring, the lights went out after the countdown... and a single gong was heard. Kane started freaking out, figuring the Undertaker was coming out for his revenge. When the lights came back on, Booker T quickly eliminated Kane, who was grabbing hold of the ring ropes nearest the entrance ramp.

And then Spike Dudley came out, and Kane-- figuring it was Spike who had done that-- chokeslammed him on the ramp. Spike never made it to the ring.

Later, when Mick Foley made his surprise return as a Rumble entrant, he eliminated himself and Randy Orton with a clothesline over the top rope, and proceeded to beat the hell out of Orton all over the arena. As Orton was prone on the entrance ramp, Nunzio came out as an entrant, and Foley put the Mandible Claw on Nunzio for no apparent reason. Orton attacked Foley from behind and made good his escape. Nunzio was the #23 entrant, but he didn't actually enter the ring (he even deliberately just sat at ringside) until #28 John Cena dragged him in.

My guess is: Riley knew that he was supposed to be out of the Rumble before Kofi was eliminated, and saw a security guard down by the front holding onto that confiscated sign that said "Black Ref" on it, got confused and thought it was an already-eliminated Kofi and just got out of the match as quickly as possible so he wouldn't accidentally end up winning the Rumble.

Guess I'm the only one who thought "Hey, they can give Diesel the Diesel push!" ? (not really considering the star power getting ready for the endgame by that point)

I thought the Punk/New Nexus run was just about right, length-wise. Didn't like Cena single-handedly crushing it though. I was thinking someone like Show could have whittled the group down a bit.

Marked out for Booker, and probably can do without Striker doing the same from the announcer's booth - though otherwise I like his commentary. (Quite weird coming back to Cole as Raw PBP guy and SD heel commentator.)

Also beat my chest a few times when Chavo finally hit the Three Amigos.

Watching 3 weeks worth of Raw/SD to get back into the storylines, I have to question if ADR will make it to WrestleMania - they make it seem like the only way he can win a match is by count out, or other chicanery. Though I can see a build where Vickie is as much the antagonist to Edge as Del Rio, something like the time Steph overshadowed heel Jericho against HHH.

And I'm gonna be soooo screwed rooting for Miz to beat Cena at WrestleMania, aren't I?

I'll say this after watching the Rumble again.

-I know it'll never happen ever again but I would pay good money to see Regal, Punk and Bryan in a triple threat like they had at the beginning of the Rumble match itself.

-I'll pay good money to never ever see Cena and Hornswoggle work together again in any capacity. I may not be a Cena fan, but I fucking hate Hornswoggle.

-Countdown till Tyson Kidd's Future Endeavoring starts now. I say a month after Wrestlemania.

-Micheal Cole is still a shit announcer. I know he's being loud and obnoxious for character's sake, but watch the rumble again and take a shot for every time he bitches about the rule of throwing the opponent over the top rope. You'll be passed out by the time Booker T comes out.

Cole is just awful. The great heel commentators worked to get the talent over, not themselves. Heenan and Jesse would root for the bad guys, but would also occassionally give a face props. That made you think, "Wow, LOD is so tough even the Weasel has to admit it!"

Without defending Cole too much, he is doing this now with Daniel Bryan.

Yeah, Cole is no Bobby Heenan, but look back at some of his stuff. Heck, look at his commentary in the 1992 Rumble - he was openly rooting for Flair as much as Cole roots for Miz now.

Yeah, Cole's not a "great" commentator. But the WWE doesn't have anyone in the great category right now. Punk might have been able to pull it off, but do you want him out of the ring to commentate?

I think Cole's a bit over the top, but I like him better now than I did 2-3 years ago. I'm not about to bash improvement.

Masters has been using them all along. As have half-a-dozen other guys. I saw at least 3 different guys use them the very week that the "story" about knife edge chops being banned broke.

I'm not so sure they "got bit". MSG always gives me that rowdy, intense feel so having a bit more colorful language just adds to the atmosphere. Agreed that we heard way too much during the Tables Match, though.
