What an amazing performance. Now I feel like an idiot for saying this would the full five games. After that game the Reds have to feel really down on themselves and won't be able to recover from this. Volquez being run out of the second inning and Dusty having to use a good chunk of his bullpen (who to their credit pitched really well the rest of the game) probably won't help matters much.
And just think, Big Bad's Blue Jays had this weapon in their arsenal all this time and could never use him in a playoff game, because they've got the misfortune of playing in the 21st century AL East. Sorry, Blue Jay fans.
Congrats to Doc.
We're flying a giant orange "CONAN" blimp over the baseball playoffs. Finally, subtlety in advertising. @ConanOBrien

It's funny, I'm a diehard lifelong Jays fan myself and have followed Roy since his first start, and among my friends and also the Jays fanbase on the Net, we all seem to have roughly the same opinion: it sucks that Roy left, but we're happy for him and we'd like to see him get a ring. The other sentiment being a (semi-bittersweet) "we told you so" to the NL, and the Phillies in particular, when we told them what they were getting when they signed him in the first place. Nearly all of the comments on the Halladay no-hitter story on mlb.com are from Phillies or Jays fans. Couldn't help but notice how many of us Jays fans were commenting on the story too.

If only we could have had better players around him. If only. But yes Jays fans are still followig Doc Hollady, we all want to see him win.

Truth. If only baseball had a more logical playoff system, or if Cleveland was located several miles east, or if the Jays hadn't become the first team to throw away money at AJ Burnett.
Also, I'm going to petition Rogers to have the team name changed to "Big Bad's Blue Jays" for next season.
Should it concern the Phillies at all that they only managed one hit off the Reds bullpen from the 2nd inning on? Or did they just take their foot off the gas once they realized Halladay had the game under control?
I waited 15 years for the Reds to get back into the playoffs, and this is what happens? They have bounced back all year, this will be the ultimate test of their resiliency tonight.

As a Phillies fan, I'm excited. Floyd might be a late bloomer, but I doubt it. The Phils threw just about everybody at him to get him to be a productive pitcher, and it just didn't seem to work out. I know even Johnny Podres worked with him.
