Just wanted to canvas opinion about having a rotisserie league with all us knuckleheads from the board going against each other.

I know our benefactor doesn't care for the fantasy sports, but he is graciously allowing me soliciting for it.

A buddy of mine has started up a league at Yahoo and we're looking to fill another 9 spots. So if you're looking to join up something, just drop me a line and I'll hook you with the info to join our league.

I'd totally join as long as the league isn't full of guys who quit halfway through the season. I've had a hell of a time finding a competitive league. I'd be in for the long hall whether my team was good or was nothing more than jobbers to the stars.

Q: If you could have interviewed Marvin Gaye, where would you have proposed to meet and what would you have asked him?

A: I would have met anywhere as long as it was before his father shot him. I would have asked him, "Hey, don't you think there's some chance that your father might shoot you? To death, I mean?"

Sure. I need something to tide me over until football season begins. I know Sportsline generally has pretty good leagues you can set up.

as a follow up to my original message, the league my buddy started is a head-to-head...so if you're interested in that one, send me a message.

I am interested in joining the roto league too.

Well, it's not like I'd want to patronize Sportsline, after being one of the people who got screwed by Wrestleline.

Look for the link below for the league I started. After about 2 hours of looking around the net, I ended up at AOL Fantasy Baseball. Yahoo would not give me the draft time I wanted and everything else cost $$$. (I'm already in a Sandbox league, so that was out too).

Here's the Info:

AOL Fantasy Baseball

League Name: Mr. Tonys Affirmation League
Password: andypolley

Y'know, brother... I think you might have wound up patronizing sportsline anyway. When I clicked on your link, it took me to the AOL Screen Name sign-in deal. And off to the right was a liiiitle tiny link for... you guessed it. SPORTSLINE. Their privacy policy, anyway.

/edit: You don't like the Yahoo! autopick draft? I prefer live, but don't mind the autopick that much.

I don't know that there's anything better than joining a league where the password is friggin andypolley.

I thought about naming my team ThisShowStinks, but I didn't want to be sued for copyright infringement.

Prepare to go down, Coale and the rest of you.

Yeah, I think that AOL/Sportsline is connected. But I was out of options.

I didn't pick Yahoo, if I didn't say this before, because I couldn't get a condusive live draft time. (I conveniently scheduled it for the same time as my Sandbox draft, so I can do them both at the same time and try and maximize my rooting by taking the same players if I can.)

I'll be sure to freshen the thread a few days before and the day of the draft in order to remind everyone.

rejected league titles:

Andy Polley Rolly Polly League
T's Great League
Cape Wearers League
This Show Stinks League
Big Blue Ball League
Pardon This League

Guerrero appraently doesn't want to play in a really big city and wants to play with lots of other Hispanic ballplayers. That makes Baltimore his town...
