| #2 Posted on 30.1.02 1332.20 | Nah - it'll be New WWF or WWF South or WWF Jr. or something equally silly.
But trust me, they're going to try to "build upon WWF's core brand equity" with the folks from Marketing at the helm.
And nWo has NO cachet as a brand name for the kiddies and goobers with the folks in Stamford.

On one hand, giving the nWo a company of their own doesn't seem like a great move. On the other hand - what ELSE are they going to call the second company?

That way they can have WWF Red and WWF Blue (or WWF North and WWF South, or WWF Foghat and WWF Hollandaise, or whatever they call the divided groups) on separate programs, then have the nWold be the only ones who screw around in BOTH groups, attacking either as they see fit.

| #9 Posted on 30.1.02 2014.16 | Isn't the story that Vince and Flair can't get along, so Vince brings in the nWo to kill the WWF but it doesn't work (it's not going to work, right?). So wouldn't it make sense for vince and his nWo to cower away, and if both Flair and Vince are going to be at the helm of one of the shows, wouldn't it kinda make sense for Vince's to be the nWo? I really think they should just call it WCW and then throw all the old WCWers into it along with some un-used wwf talent and some developmental guys and just let everything go back to the way it was before.

Woohoo! With PPVs named Souled Out and a weekly show called nWo Late Night!
If some split occurs they might just go like WWF: RAW WWF: Smackdown although this doesnt look any different from what they have now I guess
They shouldn't dump wcw guys in one 'fed' and return to the old. The new guys could add alot. I still have no idea how they are going to pull it off and how it would work..guessing is fun but even that confuses me.

| #13 Posted on 31.1.02 0223.37 | Instant Rating: 5.01 | Nah, I definitely wouldn't try to break the nWo off as a separate promotion. I remember what happened when WCW experimented with that. They let the nWo take over Nitro, and for one hour it was “nWo Monday Nitro”. It was a disaster, and a ratings nightmare-- as a matter of fact, RAW (which had been getting thoroughly shit-kicked in the ratings war at that point) actually won a couple of quarter-hours. So no, I don't think that branching the nWo off as a separate promotion is a good thing... indeed, it's a very, very bad thing.
Having a WCW would be nice. But I'm personally inclined to leave it the way it is, as one promotion. Eventually, the WWF is gonna have to let a few guys go because of the lack of roster space, and in effect they'll be creating their own competition. That's why in my view, no one fed could possibly hold a monopoly for more than a few years.
We'll see.

| #14 Posted on 31.1.02 0229.13 | Part of that ratings problem with nWo Nitro, was that the show was live, and thus when the nWo guys wanted to take down the WCW stuff and put up nWo stuff, the actually, you know, had to take down the WCW stuff and put up the nWo stuff.
There's only so many ways that construction work is fun to watch before you see what's on the other channel.

Not a chance in Hell. McMahon & Co. just spent months thoroughly burying WCW and ECW as second-rate (and now defunct) companies. They've assimilated, renamed and/or eliminated all the belts into the WWF title structure. Vince bought some new toys, he played with them, the audience was unamused, and he put them away.
WCW's value to McMahon is now strictly for its historical perspective -- videos, clips, name-dropping, that sort of thing. They're not about to take one of their two prized assets (big-rating national shows) and associate it with a failed brand name that they "destroyed" three months ago.
As for an "nWo" show, hell, they haven't even DEBUTED yet. And do we really want either Raw or Smackdown to turn into "Hogan Presents The Hogan Show Starring Hogan?"
