BJ Whitmur d. Jimmy Jacobs in a decent falls count anywhere match.
Matt Sydall d. Pac. Some great high spots in this match, as you would imagine from these two.
Jay & Mark Briscoe battled to a double KO in an outstanding match.
Team Dragon Gate (Shingo & Doi) d. Roderick Strong & Davey Richards in a really good ROH Tag Titles match to keep the belts.
Nigel McGuiness d. Jimmy Rave in a Fight Without Honour match. Some great bumps with a piece of guard railing in this one.
Samoa Joe d. Homicide in his final ROH match. Joe took the win after a muscle buster off the top rope. Following the match Joe cut a speech thanking ROH, the fans and Gabe Sopolsky. The ROH wrestlers came out to join in with the chants of "We will miss you".
I'd go as far as to say that this was the best live wrestling event I've ever seen. It totally blew away the WWE trips over to the UK and any independant shows that have happened. Top to bottom this card was really well booked and the match quality was incredibly consistant. The icing on the cake was the ROH promoter shaking the fans hands on the way out thanking them for coming. Nice touch.
I'm getting more and more excited the closer it gets to the Detroit double shot. I bought my general admission tix a few months back, but I did notice that they're selling out to the 8th row now! This will be the biggest ROH show in Detroit and will hopefully make Detroit into a market on par with Chicago...
Already announced is Naruki Doi & Shingo vs The Briscoes for the tag titles on the Friday and a 6-man all Dragon Gate participants for Saturday. Very nice. I would like to see Morishima live but I assume he'll be back in Detroit next time around.
I think I'm going to turn this trip to Detroit into my weekend wrestling extravaganza. Now that I know they're having two shows and I've always wanted to go see ROH. This could make everything totally awesome because I didn't know about it last year.
"We're like Soapbox Heroes and we've got so much to say."
There was no way Hogan could have pressed Andre over his head (which Hogan sadly insists he DID) If you're referring to RAW where he said he did, you missed the Over The Top nature of the interview. Apparently Andre was 700 pounds as well.
