I believe they make more money per buy off the internet PPV and there's a lot less overhead - where one bad TV PPV could seriously hurt the company, an internet one costs a lot less.
They also didn't like the lag between when they would tape a PPV and when it would air, especially with them doing weekly TV beside the PPV.
Since live PPVs would be an even greater expense, it's more likely everyone will figure out easy way to get video from your computer to your TV than another ROH PPV the old way.
