It's astounding that this is their attitude, considering the luck they've fallen into in the past with teams being successful.
Modern corporate WWE developmental under EVPTR John Laurinaitis has also taken the misguided philosophy that if we don't think a talent can main event Wrestlemania, we shouldn't waste our time investing in them. Which is crazy ("wrestling was never, ever like that, why do I have to headline Wrestlemania, why can't I just be Hillbilly Jim?" - Colt Cabana) but since a tag team isn't going to main event Wrestlemania, they don't put any effort into tag teams, and when they do hit on something with a team, they break them up into singles as soon as possible (e.g. Miz and Morrison).
How weird was it that none of the Uhaa Nation stuff mentioned him by name? It was clearly meant to get us interested in the guy, but then nothing? Some other quick thoughts: Those sitdown interviews were money.
