What in the blue hell???
Oh, also apparently he isn't gonna be in that one about the Hawaiian king because he's (part?) Samoan and the Samoans and Hawaiians were enemies during the time period in which the film is set.
Anyway.

| #5 Posted on 26.7.02 0151.52 | Live action well, kind of. Super Mario Brothers, Street Fighter, Double Dragon, Mortal Kombat: Anialation, and Tomb Raider (which I have to say because if you can take a truly kick ass game and make a damned shitty movie out of it, then how can you take a truly shitty game and make a non-shitty movie out of it? It must be impossible.) sucked. Resident Evil (with its great and blatant sequel setup, and somewhat actually kind of sort of fitting in with th estoryline of the first game, in a way) and Mortal Kombat (like resident evil) did not suck. Resident Evil was quite spiffy, I thought.
Animated, Street Fighter II: The Animated Movie rocks all kinds of ass.
Super Mario Brothers would have been better if either Captain Lou Albano or Ron Jeremy played Mario. | ekedolphin

| #6 Posted on 26.7.02 0231.59 | Instant Rating: 4.52 | I think that any movie with Booker T in it would be gold. “Not only am I the Scorpion King, I'm the five-time WCW Champion... and I got this sword, SUCKA!!!!” I still smile looking back on that. A movie based on "Spy Hunter"???????
First that sounds like a horrible idea. Spy Hunter was a fun game 15 years ago but a movie? Jesus all you do is drive around and shoot people while occasionaly using your oil slip. Second yeah the Rock is part Samoan and there was some tension sort of. But since when does Hollywood care or is that smart? The Rock should stick to action comedy or just plain action. He is not ever going to be a great actor but he is big and charismatic. So he should stick with kicking ass.

| #10 Posted on 28.7.02 1041.09 | Yeah, but you have to remember that Midway's re-do of Spy Hunter did really well... and it could be worse -- there are rumors of a Crazy Taxi movie.
But going back to Spy Hunter... the movie's scenes will reek of Ronin, since that movie is all one big chase scene after another.
Couldn't someone do the right thing and make Count of Cagliostro into live action (Cliff Hanger/Lupin for those who don't know)? |
