| #1 Posted on 2.10.09 0447.35 | Instant Rating: 1.48 | I have this little shop here in Los Angeles on Hollywood Blvd. (6513 1/2 Hollywood Blvd to be exact, if anyone is interested...) and seeing celebrities really isn't a big deal anymore for me, but once in a while, you see someone cool and it makes me feel like a total fanboy.
Today's sighting was Rob Van Dam. I was heading to Popeyes for lunch and as I'm walking across the street, he's just standing there looking up at the sky. Kinda bizarre really. I didn't completely dork out, but I shook his hand and thanked him for entertaining me with his past work.
I also asked him if there was a chance of seeing him come back any time soon, and he said that it wasn't very likely but that he was happy to come in for special occasions like the Royal Rumble next year. That was surprising cause I didn't actually think the WWE plans things ahead THAT far in advance. I said I'll be looking forward to it and went on to lunch.
After eating, as I was heading back to the shop, I went into this little store that sells weird sodas to buy a Blue Jolt Cola, and he was in there looking at T-Shirts. I did not bother him that time, but I thought it funny that he has time to just hang out and window shop. There are MANY smoke shops in this area, which is what I think he was really around there for, but I don't judge.
Well, that's it. Just wanted to share this with the board cause it was kinda cool.

Oh, and out of sheer curiosity...what kind of shop do you have?

Are you sure he didn't mean this year, as in last January? It'd be awesome if he came back every year, tried to win the Royal Rumble, didn't, and then left for a year to try again next time. They could rename the PPV to go along with all the rest as "WWE Rob Van Dam." | TheOldMan

"Dude" seems to genuinely like everyone. :D

Did RVD smell bad?
When I met him at Comic-con he was really stinky.

| #10 Posted on 4.10.09 2254.31 | Instant Rating: 1.48 | So many questions...
I'm sure he meant this coming January's show, he specifically said 'next year'. He looked really good and healthy, just a little 'spacey' if you know what I mean, he was wearing sunglasses. He did not stink, but I didn't make a point to 'smell' him either, it was windy though, if that helps.
It felt like I was the only person who noticed him. There were a good number of people on the street but no one else stopped him (that I saw, anyways).
Sadly, I didn't have my phone with me. I did not get a picture.
My business name is the totally generic HOLLYWOOD DVDs AND COLLECTIBLES. It's a (duh!) DVD rental and sales shop with most new releases only costing you $10. I also sell comic books, toys and Celebrity autographs. The business I bought out was MH INTERNET. It was an Internet cafe that I'm keeping open for the locals and tourists. I also do repairs at. I also rent out office space fairly cheap to people if anyone is interested.
A funny story, doing research on the store, I found out that Marilyn Monroe used to come here way back when this was a beauty parlor. I am having some t-shirts made that say 'Marilyn Monroe Dyed Here'. AWESOME!!!
NO PORN (at this time, however I have CUSTOMERS who work in the industry. Look up 'Decollecter'... she's nice but SCARRY! She will be doing an in-store signing for me in November selling exclusive DVDs.)
Okay, did I miss anything?

I have a bad feeling that now that because the word is out and it won't be much of a surprise anymore, his "surprise" appearance will be called off.
