RF Video, Inc. and Ring of Honor, Inc.
"As a result of a personal incident in which Mr. Feinstein was involved, both RF Video and Ring of Honor have made some necessary changes in both management and ownership of our companies. This was a personal incident and RF Video and Ring of Honor as corporations were not involved.
RF Video and Ring of Honor are family-friendly organizations. We value all of our customers, vendors and business partners. As a result, the board of directors of both corporations voted officially this afternoon to release Robert Feinstein as president and CEO of both RF Video and Ring of Honor. As of today, Mr. Feinstein is no longer officially associated with either company or any upcoming events and I was named as the new President and CEO of both corporations. He has been dissolved of all responsibility and ownership in both companies. Our corporate attorney is currently working on all the necessary paperwork. We are also exploring a new name change for RF Video, Inc. and we will have more details soon.
We want to thank you all for the many positive messages we have received from hundreds of you, including fans, talent and business partners. We are very excited about the many upcoming wrestling events in 2004! "
Unless they can prove he's "unofficially" not involved with them anymore as well, there's still a huge percentage of their fan base that may be lost for good. Still, it was the best thing they could've done under the circumstances.
In other news, it's been reported that Heenan has cancelled his ROH appearance, and the peej.com guys are sending letters to every venue that's ever housed ROH updating them on the situation with RF.

I find their wording to be a little interesting. Feinstein is no longer "officially" associated with either company? Did they mean to say he is "officially no longer associated with either company", which to me would carry a different meaning from the statement above, or does that mean he is still associated with both companies but on an "unofficial" level?

I understand Mr. Gentry and Rob are friends (I've even heard roommates) but trying to spare his feelings by pussyfooting with the wording in the first official company statement since the controversy broke is not helping the company at all.
It doesn't sound like they've cut ties. It sounds like Rob is no longer listed on ROH paperwork. They need to suppliment that press release with a more direct notice of disassociation.

First off I am a senior at Marple Newtown high school, pro wrestling fan and I live only about a mile from where this all went down. There is a church less then a block away from where this happened and one of my friends houses is also a block away. Not only is the school planing a lawsuit but it also sent a note home all because of NBC 10 and a couple of sick men, one who just happens to run a wrestling promotion. There are 3 schools within walking distance from that house where NBC told these sickos to go. I have a link of the note we were given in school the last two days have been kinda crazy around town.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't see exactly how much clearer the statement could possibly be than "He has been dissolved of all responsibility and ownership in both companies." That sounds pretty damn clear to me.
Yesterday he (his side) said that he was stepping down. Today the board made that official from their side as well. I don't see grounds for concern.

What a bunch of litigious assholes. Suing the news station?! On what grounds? Out of everything you say COULD have happened it DID NOT HAPPEN. So HOW can you sue the station and expect to get anything out of it?
Did the station directly cause harm to any unintended mamber of the community? NO.
Did the station create an environment that will entice pedophiles more than had been the case before the report? NO.
Has the community suffered any damage that it would not have suffered if, say, a child molester already living in the community had been busted? NO.
Has an individual not affiliated with the bust been harmed in any physical or emotional way? NO.

Damn skippy. it sounds like he's going to be kept the Hell away from RoH in every possible fashion, and thanks God for that. And if Gentry wants to stay friends with Feinstein, well hey, that's his prerogative. As long as he's not getting paychecks I don't see how it's an issue.
