From The WON:

"--Road Warriors are scheduled for the show tonight. We've heard dark match, but there are rumors among the wrestlers they'll be asked to put over Kane & Rob Van Dam. We'll see."

Hmm. IF, and this is a big if, that's all this little jaunt accounts to, then I have few problems with it. HOWEVER, if we see these two old farts outside of tonight and/or Sunday, then I may well officially turn in my Optimist's Card.

Last rumour I heard had them feuding away with the 3MW as some side issue with Goldberg.

I guess I'll have to file both under "Wait and See" until they float gracefully onto our screens and spring their spritely way downto the ring.

Assuming the APA are brought in to feud with La Resistance, the Warriors would be better off fighting a smaller team so they can appear big and strong. Like when Animal was Chavo's pet monster and beating the crap out of Rey Rey.

I just can't see either Warrior getting tossed around by 3MW without getting hurt.

This is the logic that has crippled WWE. I don't want to see Team Angle or the Guerreros putting over these no-selling has-beens.

I'm not crazy about the idea of the Warriors clubberin' Spike/Dreamer or Hurricane/Maven. But the WWE is banking on nostalgia, and the LOD faithful wanna see them power slam, gorilla slam and Doomsday Device people left and right. I think they'd kill Jamal if they tried that.

Their best, interesting story would be the LOD vs. the Dudz, but why split the heat of the finishers?

Looks like their role was to take an ass-whoopin'from RVD and Kane. Wow... all these years, and RVD is the only one to think of DUCKING the Doomsday Device!

Two hours later they decided to stop at a diner
Because they loved the smell of eggs and coffee
I just had to smoke a cigarette and wear a hat
By the time that they set off again, the sun was starting to set
It made the sky look red like a nuclear ray
One of them said "what do you want more than anything
in this whole wide world
Do you want money, do you want sex, or do you want all that success?"
I thought about that one myself
(Then they came upon the thing)

All the tag teams in the world previously beaten by the Warriors must be smacking themselves upside the head. Mark Canterbury especially.

Even smarter than Ric Steiner, who would catch Hawk and powerslam him off Animal's shoulders.

What was the point of that match? Are RVD/Kane goona beat a whole posse of old teams? Natural Disasters? Rock N Roll Express? Midnight Express? OK. Maybe.

But can they beat ... THE HIGHWAY PATROL?!

Before I saw the replay, I could have SWORN that Hawk completely blew the spot.

Good thing RVD managed to duck that "Devastation Device" (or at least that's how JR called it tonight).

Probably just me, but that's the second week in a row RVD seemed to be involved in a horribly whiffed spot....last week it was his kick to Steiner that missed him by a mile, now this....

It would have been so much more awesome if the Rock n' Roll Express had shown up. Even if time hasn't been very kind to them at all.

Im not sure what "blown" spot you're talking about. Hawk tried to clothesline him. Rob ducked. Whats the big deal?

I enjoyed the segment for what it was, and while I would keep the LOD use to a *bare minimum,* they weren't as bad as I expected them to be. (Of course, after reading a certain deluded moron's Rant you'd think they were HORRIBLE AND PATHETIC AND DIDNT DESERVE TO LIVE but that's another post.)

As long as they are used once in a while in 3 - 4 min specials and are putting teams over, I have no problems with them.

Of course, knowing Vince & CO., they'll get a rematch next week and win the world titles.

It's had to say what happened on the spot. Yeah, RVD "ducking" is a possibility, but it seems like convenient out.

At full speed, on first viewing, it looked like Hawk just couldn't hit it...

This is simply a reminder of the fantastic hypocrisy of many in Hollywood. They conflate robust criticism with censorship; they equate popular boycotts with government blacklists; they claim to be persecuted, while actually they have an amazing capacity to reach audiences other political activists can only dream of. And yet, when the slightest criticism directly affects them, they do all they can to shut dissent down. Instructive, isn't it? Industry honchoes who wouldn't have jobs without the right to free expression are only too eager to squash it when that speech dares to criticize them- Andrew Sullivan

No, Hawk just went high to make sure he missed RVD. It wasn't pretty, but I'm certain that was the planned finish.

It wasn't a blown spot, period. If it was blown, and Hawk was supposed to hit it, LOD would have been the champs. The DD is even more of a definite finish than the 3D. Trust me on this one, the spot was not blown. Hawk went high, RVD ducked. The reason it looked bad is cause RVD barely ducked so it looked as if Hawk just whiffed. Plus, RVD didnt roll Animal up until a good 5 seconds later. So I can see how it would look like a "blown spot", but it wasn't.

I dunno, maybe it's me... My intial reaction to LOD losing like that was "Well, thanks for coming boys!" To come out like that, a big surprise to the crowd (and delight as it sounded) and job very convincingly - just did absolutly nothing.

Some would say well they need to put other teams over. I'd have to initailly disagree. While I agree that they eventually need to yes.... they really shouldn't have the first time out - and definetly not so clean as it was. Now everyone's feelings toward them are probably something like "Eh who cares, I guess they can't go anymore" instead of "Yea! LOD is back! Who's going to stop them?!"

I mean, if they're going to just come out and job to teams, did we really need to bring them back? Couldn't we put together two other guys that already ON the roster to do this? I dunno..... just seemd stupid to me with no point what-so-ever. Now, I know someone's going to say "Just wait, it's early"... It's already too late, they convincingly jobbed the very first time they came out - now nobody will care or see them as a possible threat imo.
