So, if HHH is the foregone conclusion, then this bracketing seems to suggest a final of HHH v....well, I'm not sure. Kane? My first instinct is a Carlito v Masters semi-final, cause it's not like they're saving that confrontation for Mania...right? Does RVD get to the finals only to lose? Do the McMahons screw HBK in the first or second match? The specifics of this tourney are hard to predict, but I'll go with...
Why wouldn't Edge at least be part of this tournament? It's only been a week since he actually was WWE champion, you would think that at least earn him consideration for the top contender spot, especially if you are going to go 8 deep. Seems like he should be in Masters' slot. I mean, I know they will have Edge complain about this. But in this case he will actually be right, which wouldn't seem to be the most efficient way to create heel heat. Then again, what do I know?

The grapevine whispers a Foley vs. Edge match at WM.

So after months of wanting revenge, RVD's big revenge on Carlito is a match on RAW one week after his return, in a tournament designed to get Triple H over. WHOOO!
I figure Triple H over Big Show in the semi-finals. I'm not quite sure how the top brackets will go. I could see them wanting to do a Carlito v. Masters semi-final, but that would also mean that the finals are heel vs. heel.
Originally posted by haydenI'd say Edge isn't in the tourney because he'll be getting another title shot at some point in the near future. As thecubsfan said, we'll see Monday.
I'm predicting a HHH vs RVD final.

I am also going with HHH vs RVD with HHH Winning.
As far as Edge not being in the tourney, I'll go with the reasoning that he cashed in on his rematch clause the night after rumble and lost. Two consecutive losses ranked him lower than the other 8 contenders for a title running.
Edge will whine about it (which by all means he should) but will be forced to eat his own words about being a transitional champ like past champs (thus setting up the feud with Foley). Edge is left with no choice to climb back up the ladder.
edit .....so much for that idea. I forgot that Edge won the match the last week.......

I have a feeling Carlito will cheat to win against RVD setting up a rematch at Wrestlemania.
I can't see how Triple H vs John Cena as the main event of WM will come off as anything but flaccid. Hated heel vs. hated babyface is not the dynamic you want in the biggest match of the year.
He's got that hand-waving deal. He can become INVISIBLE! This means MONEY, Dawg! - AWARulz on Cena.

Hated heel? Hunter's going to be such a huge babyface in that match, it'll be like Hogan in his prime.
Such a horrid idea. Anyway, have we decided who's going to win this match at 'Mania.
I mean, you would think HHH gets the belt back, but that would kill off Cena completely.
Also, with Angle v. Orton (with Orton in all likelihood winning) you'd have two heels going over for the belts at 'Mania.
Believe it or not, we have to conclude that Cena beats HHH at Wrestlemania.

No, man. "We have to conclude" means "logically". That's not what the WWEEEE is about. Remember: Take any good booking idea, completely reverse it, and that's what we get on TV. And that's not bitching, that's just flat out hilarious.

The verdict is still out on Rey. I don't think WWE has even reached a firm decision on whether it'll be Orton or Rey in the match (although the heavily favored one, in their eyes, is Orton vs Angle). The angle with Angle/Rey, or even Angle/Rey/Orton, is just too good with Rey being the unlikely underdog, that I don't see why they'd pass up this match. Oh, right. WWE.
As far as Cena/HHH, I think it's safe to say HHH will win. Cena isn't very well liked, and HHH has "done business" at the last two WrestleManias.
What I wouldn't get would be putting over both HHH and Orton and pissing all over Eddie's memory (as they have been doing in recent promos) in the final moment of WrestleMania. Something's up with the projected WM lineup, and I think something unpredictable will happen to change it.
I think rgar if HHH takes that tourney then he woould be positioned as a face and win...I also predict Ortom/Rey/Angle as a triple threat match with Rey taking it.
