It's not the people watching at home who would be jumping up screaming.

I don't know if this changes anyone's minds about this, but the Observer says Umaga had a (presumably verbal-only) deal to return to WWE, probably to debut at Royal Rumble.

WWE tried to hire Umaga (among others) to keep them off the Hulkamania tour(s?), but Umaga insisted on working out his schedule.

I wonder how Charlie Haas is feeling; wasn't he partners with Fatu in a nutrition store in Texas?

I seem to recall that they were best friends or something.

He was.

From Monday's wrestlingobserver.com update:

Reports that things are pretty somber in Dallas today for Raw due to the death of Umaga. Most figure it'll be worse tomorrow because his closest friends are mostly on the Smackdown side. We were told a video package was being prepared. It may air on television, or maybe just on Internet. Shad Gaspard and Charlie Haas were both described as devastated.

I'm doing my radio show right now, and we're giving away tix to a local indie wrestling show on May 30th, put on by WXW. Well, I've still got a pair of tickets left, and I seem to have run out of interested callers.
