from Superman #75 (I think, so correct me if I'm wrong)

"But most will remember this sad day as the day the proudest, most noble man they ever knew finally fell. For those who loved him, one who would call him husband, one who would be his pal, or those who would call him son, this is the darkest day they could ever imagine. They raised him to be a hero... to know the value of sacrifice. To know the value of life. And for those who served with Superman in the protection of all life comes the shock of failure. The weight of being too late to help. For a city to live, a man had given his all and more. But it's too late. For this is the day that a Superman died."

Lloyd: When I met Mary, I got that old fashioned romantic feeling, where I'd do anything to bone her.
Harry: That's a special feeling.

"Jericho tries for the Walls of Jericho early on, but it is blocked by mysterious rays from Shawn Michaels while a message on the Titantron says, 'This move is mine now.' "

I would hope not but all of those cases can't really be blamed on Superman. Or can they? Anyways, RIP Christopher Reeves. You made us all believe we all could be Superman in one form or another. I too thought I'd get to see him walk again.

Alas poor Superman, we knew ye well. My entire generation basically knew about Superman from the Christopher Reeve movies. When I read Superman comics, his voice is Reeve's. Heck, Reeve even managed to stare down paralysis by continuing to live a full life after his accident. Heck, I'd say his life became FULLER afterwards. His guest spots on Smallville were always clamored for. The world has lost a good actor, a great crusader, and an exceptional man.

This board is cursed by people posting links to 18 month old stories...amongst other things.

I'm closing this thread, since it's somehow found a way to become an even more bizarre "who misses him more now that he's dead" competition than these things USUALLY become.
