Man, these celebrity deaths are coming in groups larger than three lately.

From the AP:

LOS ANGELES (AP) - Rod Steiger, who played Marlon Brando's mob-connected brother in "On the Waterfront" and won the 1967 Oscar for best actor for his role as the redneck Southern police chief in "In the Heat of the Night," died Tuesday. He was 77.

Steiger died at a Los Angeles-area hospital of pneumonia and kidney failure, said his publicist, Lori DeWaal.

"Oh, Aquaman, how can you marry a woman with no gills? You're from two different worlds."

I read this in the paper this morning and I just knew that you would have a thread up here by now.

Rod Steiger was a terrific actor, by the way.

He's Rolie Polie Olie - and in his world of curves and curls, he's the swellest kid around.

yeah, i wasn't really expecting too much from this movie but i thought it was hilarious. mandy moore was my favorite character in the film. i would certainly recommend it for anyone interested in a laugh.
