Synthesiser pioneer Moog dies

Even if you may not know what a Moog synthesizer is, I guarantee you've heard one. A true pioneer in the field of electronic music...

The one, and only, instrument I ever bought and learned (somewhat anyway...) to play was a Moog because it made such wonderful sounds on the majority of the records I owned. DEVO made me do.

This is sad news.

Check out the albums by "The Moog Cookbook"
They're all popular songs redone on the Moog. Trippy stuff I used to play in my DJ days.

I totally forgot about that album. Despite the high cheese factor, it is quite good - although it scary to think that even THOSE songs are now dated.

Had the opportunity to see Rush on the 25th in San Antonio. Great show. They played for 3 1/2 hours and had more energy(and sounded better) then most bands half their age. Set List : --Montage of several songs from several albums(while they played..
