Once you look past the masks and the whole exterior, Slipknot wrote some really well crafted and surprisingly intelligent songs and in my opinion don't get the credit they deserve.
It'll be interesting to see if they carry on after this, considering Paul was a founding member and wrote a lot of their songs. RIP.
