Oral Roberts, dead at 91 (usatoday.com)

Love him or hate him, he started the televangelist movement. I never cared for TV preachers, but I found him to be the least...I dunno, scummy? He seemed more authentic.

He dealt with a lot of tragedy in his life, losing two kids (one by plane crash and one by suicide) but he enjoyed a long life and a long marriage.

I don't know. Compared to Billy Graham, he was a little scummy. Compared to Jimmy Swaggart, a saint.

Thank God Democrats never do this kind of thing. I hate to break it to you but profiteering and war have always gone together. Ever hear of Quaker Oats. The guy lived in Akron Ohio and got rich selling food to the Union Army during the Civil War.
