Volkoff was such a great part of the Rock&Wrestle era, the Hogan era etcetera. As a kid I knew I loved to hate the guy. Hated him, but joined in with singing the anthem because that was fun. Wasn't until much later that I learned more about him. And it wasn't until the 2005 HoF that I learned who he really was. Wow. He told a great story and I loved every second the way he told it. In short; he hated the Soviet Union but played Russian to 'stick it to them'.
Seemed like a great guy and he's definitely one of the most important characters in the 80s WWE.
Rest In Peace Nikolai and have fun singing with the angels.
TONIGHT! We start the build for Randy Orton/Christian at MitB...I think. There's that whole thing where Sheamus tore up the contract and all. We also start the build for SD's MitB match, so I'm sure we'll get plenty of match combinations!
