Perhaps best known these days as director of Tommy, Altered States and The Devils.

Often viewed as a controversial director due to liberal amount of sex and nudity in his pictures, especially those related to works of DH Lawrence.

My favorite film of his is my often-recommended for Hallowe'en picture Gothic, about the creation of Frankenstein by Mary Shelley.

The first time I saw Gothic, it was half of a double feature with Lair of The White Worm. Both movies were insane and I still love both of them.

Forget it Josh... it's Cerebustown.

They just keep upping the ante on these Couch Gags, don't they? I'm generally not crazy of using recycled plots (sounds too much like Bart raising bird eggs that turn out to be lizards), but Bart's antics with the pigeon were hilarious.
