"Jonathan Frid, a Shakespearean actor who found unexpected — and by his own account unwanted — celebrity as the vampire Barnabas Collins on the sanguinary soap opera “Dark Shadows,” died last Friday, April 13, in Hamilton, Ontario. He was 87."

An unwanted or perfectly timed death of a vampire to arrive at the red carpet? I don't know for sure. He died on April 13th, 2012. Friday the 13th, 2012.

It would be amazing to see him rise from the coffin for the premier of Dark Shadow's. However, he is gone.

Thank you for what you brought to vampire's and horror nostalgia on the small screen. Well before there was a "Team Edward" there was a real team of Team Barnabas against Team Quentin.

RIP. Looking forward to your cameo more than I am the rendition.
