A legend who created a generation of artists and not just his talented sons. He will be missed.

I was just thinking this week that I hadn't heard anyone mention his involvement in Before Watchmen. There was derision about the series creators seemingly ignoring creator solidarity and rights. But Kubert would seem to be the grand master validating the effort. I wonder if he finished the pages for Nite-Owl.

There was a great deal of consternation on the internet today because the Kubert tribute on the DC website mentioned Before Watchmen (not sure what else).

Useless info: the cover of my first book is an homage to the Kubert centric issue of DC Special from the 1970s.
