Some very sad news has just come in to HIPHOPGODS and RAPstation.com. Sources tell us exclusively that the legendary Heavy D has been pronounced dead just moments ago, at a Los Angeles hospital.
Although details in regards to his untimely passing are currently unavailable, we can tell you Heavy D, whose real name is Dwight Arrington Myers, had just returned from overseas before being checked into a hospital with Pneumonia.
Heavy D was only 44 years-old.
Edit: A few more details, but cause of death is still unclear
Not much more to say than that. Child of the 80s and 90s, Heavy D was the ish. In particular I thought his verse on Michael Jackson's "Jam" was super duper underrated. He will be missed in my household.

and here we go It must have been back around 1997 or so that I first heard No Knife. I was DJing at the local college station and their second album, "Hit Man Dreams" stumbled across my ears somehow and I was instantly hooked.
