This makes me unspeakably depressed. Justice League is probably my favorite TV show of all time, period. His stories were brilliant. I'm in the minority here, but I also enjoyed his brief JLA run. He was way too young to pass on and so, SO much brilliance just gone in the blink of an eye. RIP Just incredibly sad. "Also, yes."

Oddly, I probably know him best from his contributions on "extra material" on DC Animated Universe discs. I was impressed that he's done so much with writing and creating. Visually, he doesn't look that old, but I can't find an age anywhere. RIP.

I wonder if the fact that All-Star Superman came out the day he died is what got him the mention. Mark Coale Odessa Steps Magazine ISSUE FOUR - OCTOBER 2009

Nope, just said "Television and Comic Book writer Dwayne McDuffie dies at age 48" I think his trending on Twitter actually had something to do with it. Also kind-of amazing, it was even trending on Twitter outside the US, which is almost unheard of outside of mainstream people. Roy - GI Joe (the main title) is still really good because it maintains continuity with the original Marvel title and has an increased attention to "real-world" military style action.
