Sad news and a horrible job of an obituary by CNN/AP. The focus is on what he was wearing, how he was mistreated, and how the "comic" will be disposed.
It can be better said that he was a major part of the success of the X-Men and had a great run with Chris Claremont. Marvel should honor him by selling a Legends trade featuring his 10 best issues.

I'll miss this cartoon; Bill Amend has consistantly made me laugh over the past number of years with his humour and the pop culture references throughout his strips. While I'm glad he's not totally retiring...this still sucks.
